Select Living Furniture — Local services in Pearland

I was so excited to support a small business instead of buying my couch from the big box store near me. My experience with Select Living Furniture started out very well. They were communicative, helpful, and understanding UNTIL the couch was in my home. Then, I noticed a problem with the couch that I paid almost $4000 for with warranty. The couch was beautiful and worth the money EXCEPT that 1 of 4 of the sections was severely understaffed. I’ve attached a photo to show how much of a noticeable difference there is between the lesser-stuffed section and the 3 normal sections, although the pictures don’t do it justice. I contacted Select Living Furniture with my issue expecting them to understand how frustrating this was considering that piece alone cost me upwards of $700 and for it to be malfunctioned was a serious problem. While the company was responsive for the most part, they failed to offer me any reasonable solutions. Instead, they suggested that I just fluff it up. Ya know… cause that’ll help. I’ll just punch the leather couch a few times and it’ll fluff right up! Wrong… duh. For every part of our interaction, the blame was put into me (the customer) who paid thousands of dollars for what I assumed was going to be a cohesive sofa? They argued that their floor model looks similar to the pictures I sent. But I didn’t order their floor model… at least I hope I didn’t!!! What they have advertised online shows 4 evenly filled cushions, and I got 3 evenly filled cushions with one additional sorry sack. All they could offer me as compensation was “a detailed video showing how to do it effectively” … fluffing the cushion that is… because I’m a complete idiot, I guess, and need directions on how to mindlessly punch a leather cushion in hopes it magically increases in size. I moved into my place back in February and five months later I’m still completely in love with my San Basket couch. This review is definitely overdue but I wanted to really live with it before writing anything and honestly I’m still just as obsessed as I was on day one. Huge thank you to Christian who was so incredibly patient and kind throughout the whole process. I was super indecisive and he never made me feel rushed or pressured. He really gave me the space to take my time and feel comfortable and that made all the difference. Christian you’re amazing and I hope I get to meet you in person one day. The movers were also fantastic. So respectful, professional, and efficient. They assembled everything with care and left the space spotless when they were done. Just top notch service all around.
