A tale of two restaurants…one night 2 orders on Saturday night January 14:

Experience 1: I order food from restaurant get ok experience and ok food. Gumbo was decent, but fried oysters were undercooked and fries old but overall ok experience. I say ok I’ll go back and get some gumbo sometime because it had a good flavor.

Experience 2: About an hour or so later my sister decides to order some stuff for her family.

This is when the good vibes faded, and it became more like bad vibes.

Get to the restaurant to pick up my sister’s order, and we check her order and there are big hunks of barely cut up cornbread in the bag.

Then we ordered 4 separate sides of rice and got two random sides of rice instead for our 4 individual gumbo orders. We were told the restaurant just combined all the rice altogether.

Heck, how can they assume, all this food is going to same residence…I could be surprising a friend at work or a sick person with their own separate order of food.

We got charged for 2 sides of rice that were supposed to come free with gumbo and had to hunt the manager down to get those 2 paid for sides of rice; he rolled his eyes and complained about how crowded and busy they were and acted like he didn’t want to help us.

Also paid an extra $3 per cup of gumbo and $5 per bowl of gumbo for crabmeat to be added that also seemed to be missing.

His attitude was terrible and he was very dismissive like we had to be there as customers.

Both the cup of gumbo and bowl of gumbo 2 different sizes came in same sized containers. Manager said they just put different amounts in same container. Can you tell the difference 😂 it’s like a difficult level spot the difference puzzle smh 🤦🏽‍♀️

He continued cursing about all the customers he was dealing with and why they were out of containers.

I had so much hope for this place with the cute patio and live music, and I live to support Mom and Pop establishments; however, never again will I visit this place.

We left tonight feeling violated and confused about service received.

Additionally, the young staff there needs to be trained better on assisting customers and answering questions.

They mostly stood around looking like deer in headlights…wide eyed and confused.

All our questions to the staff about food was met with “uh…let me get the manager.”

Really sad because my sister has lived in the neighborhood where they’re located for over 20 years. Lol, probably not a great idea to alienate your target market.

We’ll be making that extra drive back to Abe’s Cajun restaurant off Highway 3 and Clear Lake City Blvd or Magnolia’s Cajun on 518 near Dixie Farm. Both have exceptional customer service and solid dependable food...

Another disappointing restaurant from Tanji Patton’s Good Taste show. Seems like these restaurants prepare the wonderful food just for her show. I’ve already tried several. For starters, it was a nice day so we decided to sit in the patio. This patio has artificial grass but it’s full of food that people drop on the floor and they don’t pick it up. They sat us at table full of food drops on the floor underneath. I had to tell the host to send someone to sweep or vacuum the floor as it was gross to sit and eat there. We moved tables anyway as they sent someone to sweep the floor with a broom, which they hardly cleaned. There was still food on the floor all over the patio. I couldn't understand how people could be eating and not being bothered by such nastiness. Regarding the food, they didn’t have the crab cake shown on the menu so we ordered the ceviche tostada. This ceviche was so full of jalapeños that we couldn’t eat it. You can only imagine how spicy hot it was. Then, my husband ordered the fish and chips, which he actually liked, but I ordered the stuffed flounder featured on the Tanji Patton’s Good Taste TV show. Believe me, nothing like the TV show, not even like the video on their website. This flounder was tiny, more like a couple of bite size piece of white fish stuffed with according to them…shrimp, lobster and crab? I don’t know what happened to my lobster and crab meat because all I saw and tasted was a puree of something with a few small salad shrimps. The side veggies were 3 small quartered pieces of a roasted potato, and some broccoli and cauliflower mix, which tasted just like the frozen steamable bags I buy at the store. Oh, I forgot to mention the drink! I ordered a mimosa. Restaurants always serve it in a champagne glass, but no, this restaurant served it to me on a regular short glass with a fat bottom so it was only filled a quarter full. Looked like someone had drank most of it. Totally gross. All in all it was an awful dining experience not worth the whole hour we drove to get there and much less for the money we spent. What bothered me the most is that this place is dirty and neither the hosts nor the waiting staff care. They walk over the food on the floor like it’s no big deal. Where is the manager? Or is he or she the same careless dirty person? I regret not taking any pictures. I definitely DO NOT...

What a fun place! Took my wife on a random date and landed here. Good food, good drink, good desert, and good people!

PRO’s: -GOOD FOOD. We tried several different menu items, just coasting our way through the menu, and really enjoyed everything. My favorite item of the night was the Pineapple Sorbet. -GOOD DRINK/GOOD PEOPLE. I explained to the staff I was new to the area, that I liked a certain kind of drink and didn’t like a certain kind of drink. I was given an IPA that had me asking for seconds and thirds all night long. They nailed it and then followed it with good conversation to boot. -ENERGETIC. Definitely a fun place to hang out, maybe watch a football game, listen to live music, or just enjoy company! Ultimately, if you intend on being with people this won’t disappoint.

CON’s: -LOUD. If you are hanging outside in the live music section, just understand you will be leaning in on whoever you’re talking with and mildly yelling at them to speak normally. Is this bad? Maybe for someone hard of hearing like myself, but it was still a fun environment and didn’t ruin my night at all. -SERVICE TIMES. This place is a HOT item right now, and the staffing is struggling to keep up with the awesomeness. Between how long we were served with drinks and food I would say it is barely staffed, but with as many people as there were being served I can say the place is not hurting. More staff will come, just keep being a customer of this super fun place to find out.

ULTIMATELY, I will be taking MANY more “random” dates here with my wife in the future. I’ve given five stars to this place and they can most definitely keep them. Thank you to Dane (like the “Great Danes”) and to Eric for a fun evening, we...

I recently had an awesome dining experience at Good Vibes Coastal Kitchen in Pearland, and I must say, it was truly a treat. The restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere with an option for outdoor seating which is perfect during the spring season. The gentle breeze and the relaxed ambiance made it an ideal setting for a casual meal out. We decided to indulge in a variety of dishes including fried oysters, a hamburger, and crawfish. Each dish was prepared to perfection, boasting rich flavors and the right textures. The fried oysters were crispy on the outside and succulent inside – a must-try for seafood lovers. The hamburger was well-seasoned, juicy, and came with all the classic fixings, satisfying that hearty appetite. The crawfish was a standout, spicy and finger-licking good, it truly captured the essence of coastal cuisine. The service at Good Vibes was decent; the staff was friendly and fairly attentive, which helped make our meal enjoyable. Although there was a wait for some dishes, the delicious food compensated for the brief delays. For those who appreciate good food and a chilled-out vibe, Good Vibes Coastal Kitchen is the place to go. Whether you’re in the mood for seafood or a classic burger, this spot in Pearland won’t disappoint. Highly recommend trying their outdoor seating on a beautiful spring day for an experience that’s sure to be filled with good vibes!

Im going to start this review off a little different than my others. I feel this place is kind of niche. It seems to be like so many others that just start off SO well and then die off. I have been to many like this before. They burn bright for the moment, then disappear as if they were never there. That being said, onto the food/experience. The burgers I have to say are great. The presentation is well done and the product is just as nice. I got the Kraken as my better half got the Original. Both with their onion rings. They were just as expected. Big, juicy, and made to order burgers. The onion rings are made with dough nut batter instead of the traditional crunch style, which is nice, just not exilerating nor a new concept. I got an old fashioned drink and she got a typical seasonal Shiner beer. The atmosphere is nice, the building is well decored for a beach style place, and our waiter was very attentative and on the ball. Now it was a slow night due to easter weekend and of course the Final Four so it wasn't packed as usual. Walking around and just kinda looking about, its exactly what you would expect from place billed as such. Nice burger joint, but not something you haven't tried before (outside of a fast food joint). I would recommend it be tried while its here, I just dont see it standing the test of time. I hope im wrong but ive seen it far too often around here.
