HORRIFICALLY RACIST and DESPICABLE
Let's start with "hate it" under the star rating is a little too weak and flimsy to accurately describe the cretinous and willfully ignorant treatment my son and I had to endure today, January 27th 2016. I arrived a half hour early for a scheduled massage, found the tiny 3 car parking spaces all occupied, so parked on the side of the road in front of the salon where other cars were also parked. I decided to wait in the car with my child while I carried on a couple of banking transactions on my phone (No reason for anyone to overhear me talking with my bank inside their tiny waiting area). A worker comes out, walks past us peering into our car and walks back in. A parking space became available in the back so I moved to occupy it. Now the woman is peering from all windows nervously to check if the "DARK ONES" are still "LURKING" around. Guess what? We still are. In all her pearl clutching, white superiority complex nonsense and daftness, she calls the POLICE to come check if "there is a problem". No. No problem. Well actually there is.
I was there to have a service provided and see no reason why I can not park in the same designated parking areas like all the other customers there. If my presence was of concern or I was not allowed to park in that particular area, the same employee who came snooping could have explained that I was not supposed to park there. Maybe then she would have realized that I was there for legitimate reasons.
Upon entering the building, one pale whale of a woman asks me disdainfully "What do you want?" I respond that I was there for my 2 p.m appointment and would like to talk with the lady who was supposed to do my massage. Response is a shrug of the hippo-like shoulders and a lie that she is not there. She was. I spoke with the masseuse, cancelled my appointment and hightailed it out of that suffocatingly backwards dump.
Hmmmm, I sound bitter you may think? Consider the humiliation and talk that I had to have with my 12 year old child in the car when he asked innocently 'What happened?". No apology was forthcoming from the woman who called the police, no explanation. Nothing. I was not going to accept one anyway.
BOTTOM LINE: Hardworking, beautiful black women and sisters, take your hard-earned money to another place where you will hopefully never have to endure the unapologetic bigotry and racist ignorance of the employees of this place. There are better ones out there where you will be treated like a human being living in the 21st Century and not the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI started going to this hair salon with my autistic son who has issues sitting still. And my elderly grandma who has massive anxiety issues and is lethargic. For almost 3 years my sons hair was cut and colored beautifully. My grandma hair was cut the way she wanted it perfect. But last few times my son got his hair cut he was left with messed up hair. It was suppose to be a fade not long in front or crooked. My son had purple hair color done due to " bleach" it stayed 1 week. $120 for nothing. I didnt want bleach in his hair. I was told it was a toner not bleach. The last time my elderly grandma was there on time for her appointment was left sitting in a chair with wet hair while another person was getting hair done. My grandma's last experience here was her worse. Hair was not cut right after it dried and grandma was very unhappy for having to sit and wait in a chair like she did. It took over a hour and her hips were hurting her from sitting in chair that long. The girl that washed her hair left water dripping all down on her I grabbed a towel and dried her face. This is a lethargic person so now she is freezing cold. The last time my son was supposed to be there. I was running 5 mins late for are appointment and was rudely told there was someone else in the seat already. That had a 1215 appointment. We were always few mins early all but this one time. Then was also told that I was always late for appointments for both my son and grandma. When they would always have to wait due to someone else being in the chair when they arrived for there appointments. We would get there in the middle of someone getting hair dyed or blown out or cut. And always had to wait. 3 times they got put in chair at appointment time. The rest was having to wait. Then get fifty million "I'm sorry just few more mins" then it's you guys. Just ridiculous. Only one person smiles in this place. Everyone else is like no facial expression. I found another place to go to less headache and my son gets his hair cut the way he likes it. Sad after almost 3 years it went down hill with there cuts. A child's hair cut and a adult...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust wanted to give Randi a huge shout out for what she did for my Mother last week. Mom just got over Radiation treatments for breast cancer. She really needed something to boost her self image. Randi took the time to find a hair color that just "WOWED" my Mom. My Mother looked 10 years younger. She almost cried in the chair where she was so pleased. Mom lives almost an hour away but says this is her salon for now on. I on the other hand am also so thankful to Randi for all her ideas and work on my own hair. Not to mention her skills on doing Make Up. She did mine for my wedding and she also did my Daughter-in- laws for her wedding. Very talented. Also its so nice to go into a salon and have a nice glass of wine offered to you and all the employees are just so friendly. If you haven't been here, just give it a try. You...
