Silvana’s Italian Cuisine — Restaurant in Pennsville Township

My girlfriend ordered from here as I had a late shift at work. I found out that the first time they brought her pizza, it wasn't even cut into pieces. The pizza was also wet and soggy. So she called and they brought her another one. She could not stop telling me that it was the worse pizza she ever had. She told me it had no flavor and was just bland. When I get back at one in the morning and found out about this, I try the pizza. It was bland, no flavor, the meatballs were dry, like they just cooked beef meatballs with no eggs at least. I only had one slice and had to stop after that. I would have called them then to ask for my money back, but they were closed because it was one in the morning, so I decided to call the next day. I call them up and some Italian American guy comes on the phone. I tell him what happens and he says that the pizza was bad. I asked for my money back and he starts going off how that isn't going to happen because my girlfriend didn't call last night complaining about the second pizza. So we start going back and forth, with him telling me that I'm in the wrong town and I'm telling him that I'm not paying for bad pizza. Finally he just angrily hung up on me. Happy, Day.. Y'all I'm, a native tri-stater(SW Philly).. grew up enjoying, homemade Italian, and Greek food(s) from household table traditional dinners, to well, raved restaurants. Now, being a half-century old.. traveled across our grand county.. I have to leave this review, for this establishment. Hands, dwn.. the food here, is excellent.. ppl are friendly, kind. Probably, had to be.. other than hand-homemade myself.. one of the freshes salads I've ever had, as a take-out, dish. The rolls.. key item for any sandwich.. fresh.. super fresh, may I add.. cooked perfectly.. the main ingredient of the sandwich. Had, a pizza, a few weeks prior.. my first experience, with the establishment.. and I was hooked, to try something, different the next time in town.. and I was, very happily, impressed! Prices are.. I'd say.. usual, reasonable.. definitely, you get every pennys' worth.. and then some. Next, will be to actually, dine in.. At the recommendation of a friend, I decided to give Silvana’s a try. I went into the restaurant and ordered a take out…there were only 5 customers in the restaurant including me. I ordered their Sorrento wrap which consists of grilled chicken, raspberry vinaigrette, fresh spinach, feta cheese and walnuts. It comes with fries. I chose a wheat wrap and ranch dressing instead of the vinaigrette. When I got home with my meal, I opened the container to discover barely cooked french fries that were merely warm and still limp. The wrap itself had 1/2-1” hard edges that were beyond stale and not edible. The feta cheese had hard pieces that were not edible. There were no walnuts. It was absolutely horrible!!! They should not only be embarrassed, but ashamed of themselves for sending such poor quality food out the door!!! There was no reason for this poor quality except for the fact that they must use old food or they just don’t care. You can trust I will never support this restaurant in the future, which is very sad because I like to support local...
