Since there is no place to leave a review for the online store, I will leave it here. The Instagram page is constantly flooded with pictures of the same item they are trying to sell and it is completely and utterly annoying. I don't think people need 20+ pictures of the same item in a row, which is partly why I no longer follow on Instagram or other social media outlets. The constant re-sharing of bloggers stories of their products is a little obsessive. One 'slide' of their story instead of a 2 minute sharing would suffice and if I wanted to know more of what they thought of their 'review' of the product I would check out their page personally. This never was an issue up until the last year when they strayed away from using their stories, for what seemed exclusively, for new product, restocked items, or sales.
Secondly, I followed the online store for about 3-4 years and every single item is practically brought back every year. Which, I get to the extent of new customers and people who weren't able to purchase before because of it being sold out. BUT, there is no diversity in bringing new products or looks in for those who already have these styles and are looking for different options. It is always the style of the owner and what she chooses and repeats of the past seasons. Which I don't understand because they post often asking what you would like to see and almost 95% of those requests are asking to see new product that they don't bring in to sell. I've found other online boutiques who realize this and shop with them now because the 'choices' just aren't there anymore like they use to be. And to keep in mind, I would buy $400+ in product monthly online and haven't purchased no where near close to that in the last 6 months combined because of lack of diversity and styles of the products being offered because so many styles are repeated constantly. I know I can't be the only customer who feels this way because the site is rarely sold out on items like they used to be.
The customer service is awesome, no doubt. I've never had a single issue in that aspect.
I enjoy shopping with this online store and want to continue to do so because of the great customer service, the try on sessions and just the overall information they give about the product before it is for sale on the website. But, the issues I have given above are starting to make me explore other options resulting in this online boutique to no longer be in the top places I shop for clothing now. I had such a poor experience with an online order that's super disappointing when I work for the Apricot Lane franchise myself and how these ladies represented themselves speaks very poor business. I placed an order for a dress I had my eye on for awhile in the end of March. The item was received today.. nearly 2 months later. The original address did not contain the apartment number (the forms update preferred addresses and I live in a brand new complex). Therefore, the item was returned to the store. I WAS NOT CONTACTED and updated. After two weeks of not receiving the item, I reached out to the store and then was told the item had been previously returned. In addition, I was told I would need to pay a shipping invoice to have the item shipped back out. At this time I requested a refund as the event I needed the dress for had passed and I did not feel it was appropriate to make the consumer pay shipping a second time. The store continued to tell me the fault was not on their end. They also denied a refund as I had used a code (this was not a clearance or flash sale item). I remained in contact with the store who explained they would donate the item if I did not pay to have it shipped. š All in all, the store took my money, and withheld my item, did not provide communication upfront and misconducted business. I never write reviews, but I am in disbelief with how these ladies conducted business. I did receive my item today after providing them a second payment to ship. Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped in to the store this eveningā¦had a few returns. Shopped around first and tried on several items. There were two sales associates working, and no other customers in the store. Neither one of them asked me if I needed help with anything. I had to step out of the dressing room to grab another size, and they both stood at the front counter and just stared at me. Then when I went to check out, I was told that I would be receiving my refund on a gift card, even though my original form of payment was cash. No where in store is this policy posted, and it isnāt mentioned on the receipt either. I also had a $15 off coupon that the sales associate didnāt bother to addā¦and when I brought it to her attention, I was given an attitude. She then proceeded to tell me to call and make a complaint because it was her last day. She then ran into the back room, while the other sales associate stood there with her arms crossed, just glaring at me. I said āthank youā and proceeded to walk out of the store. No thank you back or have a nice day. Instead of was told that I was not a good person and that I made the other girl cry. Wow. Just wow. After being treated this way, and spending nearly $500 this week alone in that storeā¦not able to return anything (exchange only), they will no longer be receiving any...
