The Missing Zither — Restaurant in Peoria

This is a new trendy craft cocktail bar with some creative original cocktails on the menu. The bartenders and staff were friendly and the atmosphere is a mixture of industrial warehouse meets contemporary comfort. We enjoyed learning about whiskey bourbon from bartender, Ben who is creating some new drinks. I tried the pecan-infused drink, Après-ski that Ben invented. It was delicious. Just had an old fashioned that knocked my damn socks off of my feet! The rye based old fashioned is spicy, but not hot. It’s cinnamony, with notes of cherries, orange zest and smells or carrot cake, but without the overbearing sweetness, but just Heavenly notes of sweetness. I am very glad this space exists!! High quality spirits and cozy vibes matched up with a fantastic and friendly team. I tried their Negroni as well as the Sunday morning Mimosa - excellent cocktails. They have a tasty looking handful of sober/NA cocktails on the menu as well, thankful for that. Having the CxT coffee shop next door is great.
