She was extremely rude, disrespectful - she was talking over me again and again without any consideration to hear me out. They want everybody to think that everything is perfect with their business, which is NOT... NOTHING is ever perfect! They have a new policy now that nobody can return anything, and they will not refund you for any bad products... they sold last week Rainier cherries for $35/case, which were NOT the authentic cherries - they were some cheap version of some very small yellow cherries, a little similar looking to the real Rainier cherries, from which we had to throw away more than half of each bag... they were very small and had absolutely no taste, they were only a few big, authentic Rainier cherries inside each bag... but they do NOT care! Pros: Ordering the boxes is easy and the price you pay should be a fair price for the amount of produce received. They are kind and polite and put the box or boxes right in your vehicle. They are communicative when it comes to your order.
Cons: You cannot order anything except combo boxes online. Everything else is first come, first served in person. They charge a credit card surcharge, but you can't pay cash when ordering a combo box for pickup.
BIG CON: In my opinion, much of the produce is old. I received large red peppers that were wrinkly and clearly not fresh upon pick-up. I got a bag of avocados, and 4 of the 6 were bad when I opened the bag that night to prepare dinner. (see the attached photo). The grapes were already soft, and the artichokes I received were very small, soft, and browning on the edges. However, some of the produce was good. The potatoes, asparagus, and beets were fine. The mangoes were good. This is a hit or miss deal, and I think I would just prefer to go to the store and pick out my own produce, making sure that it is fresh.
Someone on their Facebook page suggested that I had no idea how to tell if an avocado is bad and that I didn't know how to properly store them, and accused me of slander. Take a look at the photo and judge for yourself. These were cracked open the day after I brought them home.
I really wanted this to work out as it would broaden my horizons on the veggies and fruit that I eat. But I feel like I am overpaying for the somewhat...
Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased a combo box and was unable to pick up due to getting COVID-19. I called and left a voicemail stating that i would be unable to pick up to see what arrangements could be made and never heard back. After recovering, I called EFF to follow up and see what happened and was told by Ariel that my box had been donated and there was nothing they could do. She stated it was my fault for waiting so long and not getting in touch with them. I then asked for a manager, I was given a lady by the name of Caitlin who was incredibly rude from the beginning! She said she had been listening to my call and was in agreement with Ariel that they it was my fault for not calling and not picking up my box. That they have a strict policy and if I had called sooner maybe they could have done something. She then preceded to yell at me when I was trying to explain how sick I was and that this was out of my control. She ended the call by telling me that she had “100 other things to do that were more important” and HUNG up on me! This all could have been fixed easily with a little compassion and customer service. I have never been treated so inconsiderately and rudely my life! This company clearly only cares...
