The hospital is terrible. The doctor Valeria P. showed no empathy for my daughter's issue. My daughter was never informed that although the hospital takes pur insurance the doctor seeing her does not. When you call the billing department for Dr Valeria Pagnon they literally say "This dr no longer takes your insurance" than they say "we would hope your insurance company would understand and pay the bill". So the dr no longer takes our insurance but they place blame on the insurance company. As a doctor she should be ashamed of the company she uses for her billing. The company she uses is North Valley Emergency Specialists LLC. They also won't accept a payment plan. They also do not have a website you can place a review so this now falls back on the doctor and hospital getting a negative review. Now my daughter is used to me handling her medical stuff and signing for her as she had just turned 18, 2 weeks prior to this visit. We all know when you go to the hospital they just say sign here and here and here not even giving you time to read what you are signing and due to Covid I wasn't allowed in with her. Now I am stuck with over 1200.00 to pay. They need to change and provide people with information letting them know what to expect. We have been using this same hospital for 6 years and never has this happened. No one at the hospital will allow me to file a complaint, my only option was to do so online. The doctor never even sent the results to our doctor or the imaging. My daughter has a condition and our doctor was kind of shocked they never got any information from the hospital about what was seen. The condition my daughter has is ongoing and the hospital knows from all their records how many times my daughter has been there for the same thing. Still yet no empathy for a young woman in severe pain at the hospital for the 1st time without her parent because she turned 18, 2 weeks prior. I would never recommend this hospital or doctor to anyone again. Thank god my insurance company found another place we can go that accepts our insurance as well as all the doctors there. To the doctor and Banner... Life is not just about money. Show others empathy and inform people. We are not all doctors and can afford...

My endocrinologist at another Banner location pawned me off for deciding not to go on an insulin pump and told me my primary doctor at this location, Steven Schlink, could see me for my diabetes and fill my medication. It's quite apparent that this was not a mutual understanding between doctors because each time I needed my medication refilled, it was rejected. I had to call management each time to get Steven Schlink to fill my medication, and a few times I was almost out by the time it was filled. He only needed to fill medications until I could get in with a new endocrinologist, that had an 8 month wait for new patients. I will say that the interim manager at the time was fantastic in returning my calls and making sure I got my medication, although it's sad that it was necessary for her to do so.
Another poor experience was when I went in for my 3rd hep B shot and waited 30 min after my appointment time to be told they were trying to see if they had the correct dose available even though I scheduled the appointment 3 months prior.
I'm astounded and disappointed by the unprofessionalism and lack of care and regard for my health and time. I do not recommend this location to anyone. I hope this office learns...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBanner Health Surgery Center in Peoria had exceeded my expectations. It was first time to have a surgery last February 2021. I was very nervous about it. Thinking about going under anesthesia was freaking me out especially with the pandemic that's going on right now.
Amber, Penny and Maria are awesome! They made sure that everything that I needed before my surgery was properly communicated. I wasn't able to personally met Maria on the day of my surgery, she took the time to call me the following week to check up on me and I really appreciate that.
Nurse Ashely is sooooo awesome! I am very glad that she was the nurse assigned to me that day. She is so relatable and kind. She made me feel that I will be okay and everything will be fine and she was right! She made me feel comfortable and at ease that day. She is very knowledgable on what she does. She really took the time to explain to me everything that I needed to know. Thank you, Nurse Ashley for being awesome!!
Do not fear about the pandemic during your procedure, they are sanitizing everything that the patient used. I was really impressed on how they make sure that everyone will be safe on the OR.
