1/11/25: Short version - popped in here because we were too early for the Arrowhead Farmers Market & we were both starving for a good breakfast. We got it! Also had a wonderful server, Jeremy. Longer version - we arrived close to 8 a.m. and were seated immediately. Within seconds Jeremy was at our table taking a drink order -- and throughout our entire stay he repeatedly walked by to inquire after things. I was happy to see that they offer one free refill for hot chocolate. We immediately ordered two, and a cinnamon roll to split. It came out hot and slathered in frosting. Normally I am a glutton for sweets (especially frosting) but I was not overly keen on theirs; neither was my sister. The best descriptor I have is non-traditional. The roll itself was awesome but its awesomeness was tempered by the "meh" frosting. I think they need to either put less on it so patrons can focus more on the roll, or better yet, change the frosting recipe. After ordering our food, it was maybe five to ten minutes before it arrived at the table. Excellent time management skills there. My sister thoroughly enjoyed her avocado benedict, and I did my chicken apple & avo sandwich, but again, not overly so. The sole reason being it was very messy not one to eat with your hands. The avo spread -- and there was a lot of it, so yay -- was in a large heap on the top. Why is that bad? Because the second you attempt to take a bite, it ALL SQUISHES OUT. Like I said: messy. I ended up cutting it up into pieces with a steak knife to avoid having to ask for a bib. :-) I would have enjoyed the sandwich more if it was not situated between two buns, but instead layered on one slice of thick toast. Despite the cinnamon roll frosting and messy sammich, Biscuits Cafe still deserves the four-star rating: food, service, ambiance -- all great.

Went for breakfast and ate by lunch. We were told up front that it'd be about a 20-minute wait to get a table, so we decided to stick it out. 50 minutes later, we're told they're getting with the server, and it'll be just a minute. Quite some time passes, but we finally get seated. After waiting over an hour for a table, the server comes over and informs us they currently have about a 30-minute ticket time for the kitchen, so if we'd rather not wait, we could find another option. I really respected the honesty and wish the staff in front was more knowledgeable and transparent because had we known ahead of time, we wouldn't have bothered waiting outside for a table. Anyways, we have already waited this long. What another 30 minutes. We get our food orders in and hang out, talking. Most of the food arrives together 50 minutes later at 12:05 where as the last meal (strawberry waffle) arrived nearly 10 minutes later by which time I'd already cleared my plate xD not sure if it was because the food was good or pure hunger from the 2 hour wait. Regardless, I'd say nothing is worth that bad of a wait. Poor management of staff and capabilities. The door workers are a complete waste of oxygen. The two just stood there talking amongst themselves for the extent of our visit. They should have slowed entry knowing the kitchen staff had fallen so far behind. Plus, they could have helped clear tables and clean.

Our first visit did not start out well as we ordered breakfast, the server brought us coffee that was luke warm!! Yeow, not a good vibe at a breakfast restaurant!! The place was busy as we were there just before lunch. I was coming from an early cataract surgery so hadn't eaten anything so wanted breakfast and the menus was large with lots of options. The food was good and especially plentiful (in fact, saved half for dinner and I am a big eater!!). I thought they were a little short on my 'southern white gravy' but that was just me maybe. However, another interesting thing is there were no jelly packages on the table but they gave you a very small cup of, I'm guessing, homemade strawberry jam. I did ask for additional jam and the server was very obliging. Our server was also servicing the patio which made her go out around the building (very weird setup for a patio!) which delayed her helping us. The food was very good but the wait was really long for breakfast items, I thought, but they were pretty busy so will give them leeway on that. We also had to wait a considerable time for our check as the server was on the patio. We were not in a hurry so it didn't particularly bother us but if that is the normal wait for food and check, I doubt if you were having your lunch break, , you could get back to your job on time.
