Generation jewelers makes the nerve wracking purchase of a engagement ring much more pleasant and earns your trust. This story starts in October of 2015 and just came to fruition where I got to place my ring (also purchased here) on last weekend. So I tried to make the engagement ring and popping the question a complete surprise. Without Brian's monumental efforts, this would not have occurred. Now the easy way to know the proper ring size is getting a promise ring first if possible. Which I did and wish I would have bought here, so I knew the ring size was a four. What I didn't know was how small a size that is, so when getting a custom ring you need proper lead time to get it made. I missed that by one day but Brian made it work, more on that in a second. One thing I was most appreciative of was, I luckily was gifted a diamond from my grandmother once she passed. This was nice as usually it is a large portion of your overall ring budget. So I was really just trying to find the perfect setting. You would be surprised how most other jewelry shops (the ones you hear the commercials on the radio) treat you if they find out the center diamond is not part of the purchase. Brian was so cool about it, said it was common when you are just starting out. Then if all goes well, you can purchase an additional or upgrade the diamond later. Brian showed me several types of infinity settings and I found one that was awesome. Thinking we had enough time I ordered the setting even with the unique size. I had planned to take the ring with me to California and ask for her hand in marriage in Disneyland. The few weeks leading up to that time were hectic as the ring manufacturer had some off days and what we thought was enough time started to get really close. Brian was so good keeping me informed, and really went to bat on my order. So the Saturday we were going to leave comes around and the ring had not yet arrived. So Brian said he would set the stone as soon as it arrived and got it to my family once we left. He advised we ship it to the close by post office with insurance and it would be fine. I was freaking out a bit, but much like with the rest of his advice, he was right. He got it set, to my sister and we shipped it with insurance and signature that day. I made an excuse and said my sister was shipping my forgotten debit card. When I got to the post office the gals were guessing it was a engagement ring due to the size and cost of the shipping. So I opened it up there and saw it for the first time. Wow Brian did a great job as this was the first time I saw this all together. I got kudos from the post office people and guarded it with my life until she said yes. The other thing I really appreciate is Brian walked us through his awesome cleaning and inspection service that is free and really keeps the ring looking tip top shape. He also walked us through getting the ring and stone insured and options for companies. He went over it with me, and again with the both of us when we got back to town. So we got the insurance, and I still couldn't believe the service I got just on a setting purchase. So we bought both of my rings, I got a couple colors of tungsten which he also had a great selection on. I will not buy jewelry from another jewelry store in town. Please do yourself a favor and give thsse guys a try. Brian has earned my trust and all future business with his awe inspiring knowledge, passion and customer service. Generation Jewelers is the best family owned jewelry shop I have ever found! I have made several purchases there throughout the years, the biggest was my new wedding ring.
