Old Navy — Local services in Perkins Township

I live in Michigan but was in town and saw this location and had to stop. (I love old navy) There was a sale going on and I saw signs all over racks for “50% off today only” or “buy 2 get for $6” but I guess the racks were mislabeled or the signs only applied to certain things on the racks and not everything on the rack? Yep, confusing. I got to check out and noticed the sales didn’t ring up. A worker, I didn’t get her name told me there is definitely no sign on that rack, I said yes there is so she went back there and took a picture and then put her phone rudely in my face “see see no sign” and I said yes it’s right there and she said “it only applies to the sweaters on that rack”.. Ok again, super confusing. How was I supposed to know that? Im a shopper, I shop quite often. I’ve never in my life encountered an employee who was so rude. I sure hope she doesn’t treat all customers like she treated me. My sister was so dumbfounded by the way this employee was talking to me, she had to walk away. One of the best Old Navy stores I’ve ever been in. I noticed that the service personnel are super helpful and super friendly. It was remarkable! Then Chuck came by and took the initiative to educate me on what was new. When he was done, I asked if he could do the same for my wife and he did. As he helped her I looked at his name tag and it turns out he’s the general manager! That explains why the staff are so great. It’s a top down approach. And thus, I decided I had to write a 5 star review at that moment. A few minutes later Chuck saw me standing with several items in my hands as I was writing this review and he took the initiative to bring me a shopping bag so that I didn’t have to hold things in my hands. I have never been a fan of Old Navy- but this experience was top notch. While looking for an outfit (she was looking for me), the GM Chuck (I think- badge definitely said GM) stopped to ask if we needed any help.

I had no clue, but somehow he ended up taking us a few places, showing us some stuff, and generally giving a positive vibe for the place. Sadly, we didn't get the same vigor from the cashier or fitting room person, but it's important it starts at the top. Store was clean, organized, well put together for a clothing store.
