We bought a couch and love seat and purchased the warranty in 2019. Just maybe a year later, the furniture was basically falling apart. We have no small children so there was no abuse of the furniture. The wood frame broke in multiple places and on both pieces of furniture. I called American Freight and they said to contact the company the warranty was through. It was all a hassle to even get anything done but finally someone came out and basically all he did was nail the pieces of wood together with a LOT of nails. The cushions were junk but we were told warranty doesn’t cover those bc that’s “wear and tear”. A year with brand new furniture should not show so much wear and tear that the couch recliner doesn’t even sit even. When the man left, the couch didn’t look any better than it did when he got there. We haven’t had the money to buy new furniture so here we are going on four years with the same broken junk furniture that we got when we bought it. American Freight just pushed it off on to the warranty place, but if you are going to offer to sell a warranty for a company, you should at least be responsible to be sure they do what needs done. Not to mention, they sold us furniture that was junk from shortly after we purchased it and they refused to back their sale in any way. Very disappointed Update… someone from American Freight commented on my review and told me to call them and ask to speak to one of two specific people and they would set it up to have the furniture replaced. I have called five times. Four times it rang forever and no one answered the phone. Finally one time it seemed as if a voicemail picked up after a message. I left a message after the tone but haven’t heard from anyone. I’m not sure if it was actually not recording or if they just didn’t return my call. If they would make this right, as they said they will, I would edit the review, but at this point, I have seen no attempt to follow through with...
Read moreUPDATE. Going on three weeks and I still do NOT have my refund check. I was lied to last week it would be mailed out called today to find out the check still isn't written. Do NOT do any business with this company at all, it's been nothing but lies and stealing your money and withholding the refund checks. Order was canceled on March 28th and still no refund from American Frieght. Worst furniture buying experience and fraudulent behavior from their Corporate office.
What an absolute worst experience. Was told it would be 3 weeks for my couch ordered on 9th of March, paid $200 in cash and $50 deposit on my card. Tried calling Monday the 24th to get update still nothing called today the 28th and was going be 04/11 definitely not the 3 weeks i promised. I was also told i will NOT get charged until i get my couch but i got charged my monthly payment and given the run around about getting that refund. I canceled my order and was told I can not get my cash but back that I would have to wait for a check. Now if I was updated about my order taking longer I would have never canceled my order, even tried asking for an update but was just given the answer " nope we don't have it". One of the employees told me this has been happening to a lot of people. Do NOT shop here, they will take your money and give you the run around about your money and order. Poor communication, poor customer service and lack of inventory makes me wish I could leave a negative review. P.S. its not American Freight either, their using the same name but NOT the...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE!! My husband and I have spent literal WEEKS trying to find a decent recliner loveseat. One that wasn't too uncomfortable, or too hot, and obviously needs to be cat-proof. Long story long, we had a serious laundry list of things for which we were looking. We went to so many different places and had problems everywhere. Either stuff wasn't in stock (and wouldn't be for another 8 months, despite being on the showroom floor...), or the recliners were expensive yet poorly made, etc. etc. Then we came to American Freight. Right off the bat, Thomas was super nice and professional, and pointed us in the right direction. He wasn't overbearing (like a lot of people we ran into who kept trying to sell us leather even though we stated several times that we A. don't like leather and B. have cats!), and was all-around a really nice, knowledgeable guy. We had a lovely, QUICK interaction (I was on lunch break from work, haha) - he rang us up super fast and gave us all the information we needed. As people who really appreciate efficiency, I was tickled pink by the entire excursion. We found some other things in the store that we are going to come back and get for my husband's parents, so I can't wait to bring them here and show them all the awesome stuff available!
Thomas, you have made life-long customers out of us! Thank you for solving a problem that was driving...
