Tried Game Time for the first time, but certainly not the last time! Nice indoor and and outdoor seating options, including plenty of room at the bar. They also have probably close to 20 flat screen TVs so a great place to go to watch live sporting events.
We started out with the Rueben rolls, which were basically like large egg rolls stuffed with corned beef and sauerkraut, then cut in half and served with a side of Thousand Island dressing. These didn’t last long, as they were delicious. They were also fried for the perfect amount of time.
For our lunch, I ordered the Italian sub, and my wife got a fried chicken sandwich. The Italian sub was very good and had plenty of salami, ham, and pepperoni on it. My wife’s sandwich had two good-sized pieces of fried white chicken breast on it. When she cut it, the chicken was still moist and juicy on the inside. Both of our sandwiches came with homemade chips, which were perfectly seasoned and would be a great appetizer as well (it’s on their menu as such).
Game Time has an excellent selection of craft beers and mixed drinks as well, with their own unique twists, such as the Game Time Long Island Iced Tea. Watermelon liqueur added a nice green “glow” to my wife’s drink, and she said it was on point. I tried a Heavy Seas TropiCannon IPA, which was excellent. My only minor complaint is the glass it was served it wasn’t very cold.
Beyond the good food, our server Jamie was very attentive, without being a nuisance. She was very polite and anticipated our needs (such as extra napkins) before we even had to ask. She definitely added to our great experience. Strongly recommend Game Time and we certainly...
Read moreI usually love eating here, the food and atmosphere is great. However, I went to Game Time tonight with my husband and two friends from out of town. The guys each ordered a beer and our waitress respectfully asked for our IDs. One of our friends has an out of state ID, as he lives in NY. The waitress explained that she would have to take it back to the manager for him to check it, this wasn't a big deal. She came back and told our friend that they could not serve him because he was out of state. This was pretty frustrating for three reasons, 1. His ID is perfectly legal 2. Our friend is here for work reasons, we haven't seen him in a year, and we would just like to relax and enjoy a beer with him, 3. My friends and I are all 24 and 25 years old. We then explained to the waitress that we were going to go eat somewhere else, and at the point she rolled her eyes and snipped "they're going to tell you that anywhere." Typically this isn't something I would be angry enough to write a bad review about, but I don't appreciate her attitude towards us when we were just trying to introduce our friend to our favorite local restaurant. Additionally, we visited Game Time during the Hall of Fame weekend, if they're really not going to serve out of state guests, they should expect to lose a lot of business this weekend. So, my friends and I are down the road at Falcones, enjoying cold beer...
Read moreI've had good and bad experiences here. Service is always excellent, but food was not great on our last visit. We went to see a friend's band there from 9 pm-12:00 am on a Saturday night. When I go to hear live music, I'd like to HEAR it. They were restricted from playing "loudly" and were told it was because of the business next door complaining. Interesting fact, there's only one business which neighbors this venue, and they were closed. On a different visit, I was told by the manager that they have bands start at 9 PM to avoid bothering the neighboring business. So, there was no reason for the weird volume restriction. Many of my friends are musicians, and most of them have played there, but this was the first time a band was asked to play quietly, which, by the way, is a ridiculous statement to make to the talent you have hired to enhance YOUR business. Honestly, it left a rather sour taste in my mouth for returning to this venue. We probably had 30 to 40 people there, and no one was impressed. Again, there are pros and cons to this place, but there were far more negatives upon...
