Ichiban Hibachi sushi & Boba — Restaurant in Perry Heights

I would not recommend the milk teas. We ordered drinks 10 min before we ordered our food and got our drinks before we finished our meal and asked for boxes. The server said it would be about a 5-10 min wait, which we were ok with. But upon delivering food never even thought to offer water, or an explanation until we were halfway through our meals (30 min at this point) when finally I politely asked for water and said if it was going to be much longer we didn't want the tea. The lady acted as if I was being rude and entitled, saying they make thier tea fresh, and it takes time. I get that but having worked service industry for years, this was all kinda bad service, and poorly handled. Sadly not only was it the worst milk tea we've had, but they wouldn't even discount the drink . Will not order again! The food was OK. Sushi was dry, and reminded me of Aldi's sushi. Hibachi was better, but still not yummy. The Rangoons needed drenched in sauce. They lack filling and flavor, just fried cream cheese with flecks of fake crab. Not impressed but but it's edible. Hello you. Yes you, scrolling through the reviews, seeing if you want to try a different restaurant for your Japanese food cravings. Well, I got news for you buddy, it's all in the name. Ichiban (#1) hibachi, sushi, and boba.

Previously in the Belden mall, this locally owned and operated restaurant provides some of the best tasting and well portioned hibachi and sushi for a great price. That alone would be enough but add on the boba tea, sake, lets not forget the yum yum sauce (ask for spicy, you won't regret it) and you have one of the best restaurants in the area.

My husband and I came into today for our anniversary lunch date. We were immediately greeted by our super kind waitress! She answered all of our questions. We ordered drinks & food at the same time. We got our drinks within minutes and meals in 10 minutes! Super fast service. The food was AMAZING. The quality of their food especially their meat is something you do not get for these affordable prices. The restaurant was so clean and relaxing as well. My husband and I spent the entire meal talking about how this is our new go to place. I encourage everyone to check it out! I cooked at a hibachi restaurant for many years and I know how challenging it is to make good quality food in a timely manner and they absolutely did it! We are more than impressed.
