DO NOT SELL HERE. We took our collection of Magic, Yugioh, Pokemon and some Lorcana and One Piece cards here to try and sell them. We left our binder there so that they could go through them and price them. That's fair, no issues so far. The next time we go there, we hear their offer. We go off of TCGplayer, (the same market site they told us they use) and adding the market price of them together to get a general total. The cards add up to $1093 as a total for the market price of good condition cards. They totaled our cards at $333 and said they would offer us $350. I understand that businesses aren't going to give you exactly what you want for your items, as they need to make profit so the business benefits from the sale. This in my opinion is simply a complete ripoff and I think no one would take that offer. They stated they price cards based on the quality of the cards, I know that I don't have pristine grade 10 cards, I just know they are at least close to, if not near mint. I'm not professionally trained in rating the quality of cards, but the hits we get we immediately put into sleeves and into top loaders. This makes me think that it was just so they could get more money out of the cards. We refused that offer, took our cards and left, when we got home we discovered that all but our biggest hit was taken out of the toploaders. Not only that, but our top loaders were missing. This was close to $40 worth of top loaders that we just did not get back. They should've been put back in the top loaders and put back into the binder as they were when we went there. They were loose in a pokemon go bundle box. This is why I highly recommend not selling your cards here. I don't know about the gaming lounge aspect of it as we weren't interested in this. I also know that the employees were not rude, and were actually very nice so as people they were fine. Just in my opinion they're cheapskates and will not give you a proper offer...
Read moreI cannot express how amazing this experience was for mine, and my friend’s first time in here. I’m from out of town, and my best friend lives here and has been wanting to show me Paul’s for awhile. We grabbed another of our friends and decided to finally check it out having no idea what to expect (and quite a bit of nerves because we were all women and I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other shops). We walked in and were immediately amazed with how awesome everything was setup. I have never seen such an environment with everything for every type of person. Card gaming, board gaming, retro gaming, new age gaming whether pc or console. Private and public gaming spaces. Plenty of snacks and plenty of card options to choose from with- mind you- ACTUAL REASONABLE AND GOOD PRICES. Just a cool environment to get out and meet people into the same things as you, but that comfy at home/hangout feel. We were in awe, and everything just continued to get better and dare I say, magical when Paul came over to greet us and speak with us. He was so friendly and open to answering any and all of our questions and making sure we were comfortable and knew what was available to us. He showed us around and joked like he’d known us for ages. And ladies this is for you, he expressed multiple times that if we ever felt uncomfortable or unsafe, he’d be sure to help us or take care of it. It genuinely helped our nerves to know that we could come and enjoy ourselves fully. Everything about our time here was just absolutely the best and we decided that we are definitely coming back 👏🏼💕 thank you to Paul and some of the cool people we also talked to as well!!! Can’t wait to experience this place to the fullest cause it has so...
Read morePretty bummed after my experience last night. Came with my deck to play and buy some Journey Together. Was directed to put my name on a list. Then was told I could only buy one item since I wasn’t playing, but also wasn’t given a chance to play. So ripped my booster box, packed up my deck boxes, and left. There seems to be some sort of infighting going on between the staff and players. Was hoping to find someplace a bit less clique-y to start playing, as I’m trying to get a few friends into the game as well, and I had previously good purchasing experiences at Paul’s. But last night was not the experience I was hoping for, and I think the cherry on top was being referred to as “the white guy” instead of “the guy on the left” at one point.
To top it off, tried to address this on Instagram first as I know how detrimental reviews are to small businesses, but instead of messaging me or engaging on Instagram, they just...
