Response: Response to Dominic’s Appliances
I appreciate your response, but I respectfully disagree with your claim that no inappropriate comments were made. Dismissing concerns rather than addressing them directly only raises more doubts about the integrity of your business.
Accountability and honesty go a long way in building trust and credibility with customers. Owning up to mistakes—rather than denying them—demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to improvement. A simple acknowledgment and effort to ensure a better experience in the future would have been far more effective than outright denial.
I hope you take this feedback seriously because customer satisfaction isn’t just about selling appliances; it’s about respecting the people who support your business.
I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience with Dominic’s Appliances. The first technician who came out said there was nothing wrong with our dishwasher but made inappropriate comments towards both me and my girlfriend. We had to make another appointment as the dishwasher continued not to work. The second technician informed us that the dishwasher was too old to be repaired with the tools he had on hand and said the first technician should have noticed this. He scheduled a follow-up visit for the following week.
On the day of the appointment, I received a text saying they couldn’t come due to their truck not working, which was surprising for a supposedly large appliance business. I rescheduled, and the last appointment was set for a Thursday. However, the day before, I received a call saying they were trying to deliver the dishwasher on Wednesday, even though they previously claimed my appointment was actually on Tuesday.
I asked them to call my partner’s phone and provided the number, but on the day of the scheduled drop-off, they claimed to have called her. When I checked, she had received no call or message. After I followed up, they immediately called her, making it clear they had lied about contacting her earlier.
I’ve been very patient with Dominic’s Appliances over the past few weeks, but the lack of professionalism and outright dishonesty was shocking. To make matters worse, I was laughed at when I tried to address the issue. Unfortunately, as a renter, I have no choice but to deal with this company. I hope they improve their customer service because this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. if you are a woman and are thinking about using them I highly recommend looking elsewhere to avoid feeling uncomfortable and gaslit in...

After only 3 years, my small (16.6CF), no non-sense GE fridge started to fail. I looked at Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot and Dominic's. In person, I went to Lowe's to understand the timing and fees. Lowe's charges you a $29 delivery fee and $50 removal fee. Dominic has no delivery fee and removal was $25. I got frustrated with Lowes because they don't want any part of delivery concerns I had and told me to buy it online - in their words "It's not our problem. You need to call the delivery company." So I called Dominic Appliances. The gentleman was courteous, understanding, and knowledgeable. We quickly picked out a fridge on a Tuesday and delivered the same week, Friday.
Lowes uses a third party(XPO) to deliver your appliance. I had an awful experience three years ago where they just drove away, on three separate days, saying the street is too small and they can't block an adjoining street. Compare that to Dominic Appliances. The crew arrived an hour early, used an appropriate pick up truck, installed the new fridge and took the broken fridge all under an hour.
I will definitely use Dominic Appliances for our next appliance purchase. So much easier overall. Shout out to the crew who handled the not...
Read moreGood experience in store and prices are very reasonable. Delivery and installation were terrible....twice!!!
First purchase was dryer. The Installation people marked up my wall when they installed it in a number of places and they also knocked down a hook on the wall which I had to repair.
Second purchase was a I a washing machine. Told Pete about my first experience- he took a few bucks off the delivery and sent one of his top guys (Brian) for delivery of the washer.
Brian made the mistake of letting the delivery people come in first. The delivery person complained from the minute he got inside and said it would cost $35 to have the old washer removed. In the store, Pete said there was no charge for this but to give the delivery men a tip which I was prepared to do. I told him about the tip but he wanted a promise of $35. He was so nasty I almost cancelled my order. I called Pete and the next thing I know Brian came in to the house and supervised everything and everything went smoothly after that....until the first time we did wash there was water all over the floor. Brian came back and put a tie around the hose and it's ok now- (he should have done this the first time).
There won't be a third purchase. The aggravation and nastiness I experienced was not worth the savings.
Also, they left me with the box that the washing machine came in - so I had to box it up and get rid of...
