"These people are nasty and very rude. I went there to spend my money, I don't use food stamps, I use my hard-earned cash. When I shop there, I typically spend between $300 to $600 on multiple occasions. I went in today, June 16th, to buy food for Sunday lunch. Since there were many cars in the parking lot, I double-parked, knowing I wouldn't stay long. However, this nuisance in this picture, approached me in a very rude manner, shouting at me in front of my four little children, who were frightened and confused. This man was disrespectful and unprofessional. As someone who runs three businesses, including daycares and a restaurant, I know that I would never speak to a customer in such a manner, no matter how upset I am. "Do you think I don't know where to shop? As a restaurant owner, I frequent Restaurant Depot, Shop Rite, Produce Center, and Ben Thanh Supermarket on Whitaker. So, consider it a privilege when customers choose to shop at your store."While I don't want to play the race card, I believe that if I were Hispanic, he would not have addressed me in such a way. I loved going to Don Pedro’s. It’s super convenient and the staff was very nice. That’s until today when I had to encounter the women at the cash register. When I walked into the store her and the other associate seemed to find it funny that I was there. I didn’t say anything gathered my items and went to check out. She was the only person on register. I said hello.. she looked at me and just turned to ring my items. I spoke again to let her know I was greeting her. This time it was blatant, she looked me dead in my face and just went back to working. Why apply to be a cashier if you don’t like people or have an issue with women!! That never made sense to me. I don’t want to spend my money anywhere where I feel intimidated or profiled. It’s crazy because my entire family shopped here and when I had guest over I would always direct them to there market, but that’s dead!!! The women should learn how to treat people. One day I was looking to buy bourse lunch meat. But founded this market Ibwas quiet please. Especially the cut beef ribs from the slab of beef. Have always brought beef ribs packaged or already sliced. Here you get it cut to the thickness you want. Can't stop going back for more and extending my grocer list along with fresh produce.
