Manager has horrible customer service. Made an appointment online for a reception dress and received a confirmation via email. Arrived to my appointment and the owner, Ms. Willis states that she didnât have an appointment for me. So I pull out my phone and she proceeds to say oh, âif you made an appointment online, I didnât get it, I donât know how to access those.â So she pointed me in the direction of the formal gowns and says she will put me in a dressing room. She did...and if it werenât for her assistant, I wouldnât have received any help nor would she have received any stars. The assistant was phenomenal, however, she was already assisting someone, when I arrived; so I couldnât expect her to stop what she was doing to assist me. Ms. Willis totally blew me off and focused on her bridal and pageant customers. So in attempt to make use of the time I set aside to drive two hours west to find a dress, I pulled my own dresses and tried them on. Not once did she bother to check on me, so I made it a point to interrupt her Chatty Cathy session with her âpreferredâ customers and ask a question about dresses which she advertised online, yesterday didnât have in store. After posing the question, she assured me that if I sent the pictures, she could check with the supplier to see if the item was available and get back with me the next day. So I emailed the same day and here it is two weeks later and I have yet to receive a response. So I say this to say, when you donât feel welcomed, go with your initial instinct and exit. Clearly she had no real plans to assist me, but for the mere fact that I made an appointment online which she failed to acknowledge, she felt a slight obligation to assist me. I would rather her had be honest and ask me to come back another day, than be unprofessional while I was there. I canât pinpoint the exact discriminatory factor in this situation, but clearly there was a preconceived bias present Based upon other reviews by others I closely identify with, this seems to be a precedent for certain customers! Thank God my money spends where ever I take it, but thanks to her actions, it will never be spent at...
Read moreI have bought many dresses for my daughter but we had never been to Faulkenberryâs. I was hesitant because I had heard from others that they are rude and that is not an experience I want to have when Iâm paying a large sum of money. They were very busy when we got there. As soon as I walked in, I was given an irritated look by one of the workers because I was in her way, I guess. The young girl that assisted us was pleasant but not very helpful as far as suggestions on being able to get certain dresses in other sizes. My daughter ended up finding a dress she liked and was quickly booted out of the dressing room and up to the counter where we paid $700 for a dress and got no dress bag. A $700 WHITE ball gown in a clear dry cleaners bag that didnât cover the bottom of the dress. I asked for a dress bag and was told that they ran out, which apparently, according to other reviews, is said a lot. So another clear bag was pulled over the bottom and stapled. Iâve seriously never bought a dress at any dress shop that didnât provide you with a quality dress bag with their name on it! So I called back a week later and requested a dress bag. I was told that I would have to purchase one for $10 even though I bought a $700 dress from them. At this point, I was angry and went ahead and purchased the bag, since I had nothing to store the dress in. Two weeks later, NO BAG!! I called back, excuses were made and am still waiting! Horrible, horrible customer service. You would think a business like this would learn that something as simple as a nice dress bag makes customers happy with their experience. It might cost them $5 to provide a bag but it has ended up costing them much more! We will have several other events come up this year, as itâs my daughters senior year, but you can bet I wonât darken the doors of this...
Read moreI live in Bagdad, Ky. On 4/5/2025 my daughter fell in love with a specific prom dress (Ashley Lauren 11236.....IYKYK) at a prom dress shop close to us in Lexington, Ky. However we needed a size smaller than what she tried on. The next day which was a Sunday, I got on the phone & called around all over the U.S. trying to find this dress in a royal blue, size 0. A lot of places were closed but it was a Sunday & I was determined to find what she wanted. At call # 62 my daughter said don't worry about it, we'll find something else. However, I'm a little stubborn & wanted this dress! Most of the people I talked to laughed & said "good luck" that's THE dress this year. Call #65 though was to Brooke at Faulkenbery's.....THEY HAD THE DRESS! However, someone was literally trying in on at that particular moment. She took my name & number & said she would call me back when that customer decided to buy or not buy the dress. About 30 minutes later, she called me back, that customer did not purchase the dress. I paid for it & shipping over the phone, she said they would ship it out the next day (4/7/2025). I received the dress on 4/10/2025. Faulkenbery's is 8-9 hours from my house but they helped make it happen! Brooke was amazing & deserves to be recognized! THANK YOU, Brooke & THANK YOU,...
