We recently moved into a 200+ year old home that appeared to have a galvanized water main pipe. There was a temporary clamp on the pipe and the main shutoff valve did not function, so we decided to take the plunge and investigate new water service. Our regular plumber did not do this type of work, but he referred us to someone, who ended up referring us to Guaranteed Plumbing. I spoke with a number of plumbers about this job and most of them did not provide a quote; it’s a historic house on a busy street and the front yard, which includes mature trees, is built up several feet above the sidewalk. Eric, the owner of Guaranteed Plumbing, met with me to discuss the job rapidly after calling him. Shortly thereafter, he provided a quote, and he was a pleasure to work with throughout this process, promptly returning phone calls and e-mails and always providing candid feedback. As for the job itself, his team delivered; they put the new copper water main pipe in our house with absolute precision and zero disruption. As it turns out, the galvanized pipe inside the house connected to a lead pipe that ran from the house to the sidewalk, so we made the right decision in doing this job now, and we are fortunate we wound up in the very qualified hands of Guaranteed Plumbing. My decision to call Guarantee Plumbing and Heating on Oct 5, 2024 was definitely the right choice. The receptionist (Leslie) knew just what questions to ask me about my plumbing situation. She was the right person for me. She felt my frustration and my inconvenience about me bailing my kitchen sink out for the last two weeks due to the tenants above me. They have a garbage disposal and I do not. I informed her this happened two years ago and we did not use a professional plumber. From than on I would only allowed clear soapy water to go down my kitchen drain. Leslie did not pressure me nor did she rush me off the phone. She was empathetic and listen tentively to my plumbing issue. However; what she said next to me let me no Guarantee Plumbing was perfect one to fix my clogged drain. Leslie than stated. "You probably have some one else in mind or a friend in mind. Just remember we are licensed plumbers and we give you a 30 day guarantee on our service." Guarantee Plumbing came out the next day. They definitely had the right equipment to do the entire job the first time.out. In less than one hour my clogged kitchen drain was open once again. Then surprising two days later I received a follow up phone call from Guarantee Plumbing inquiring: was I satisfied with their service. After trying out several plumbers to fix various projects in our 100yr old house, we've found our dream company in Guaranteed Plumbing. They had come out once before and done good work, but this time around we had an emergency downpour of water in our living room ceiling due to a faulty (and incorrect) steel-to-copper connection. Troy and Devon came out within the hour and were able to quickly assess the problem. Although the initial culprit was easy to spot, the solution took quite a bit of ceiling/wall/floor opening due to the location of the pipe within the cement under the bath and it ended up being a 3-day project. That said, I'll always prefer a job be done right over fast. Case-in-point, in the investigative process, Troy was able to identify it would be more efficient to abandon the previous line and rerout the water line through new PEX lines. During the installation, he was also able to remove multiple "shark-bite" connections, therefore saving us from future failures. As mentioned, this is a 100yr old house and so there were some funky things going on with the plumbing, but I really appreciate a plumber that can tell me with a straight face how bad previous work was and then making it right. Guaranteed Plumbing, especially Troy and Devon, will always be my first call for any plumbing need...
