I had a great experIence having my hair cut with Melissa today. Its been YEARS since I had a salon experience and it was great. Her personality is bright and fun, she is patient and listens well. I told her about my lack of girly styling skills and the simplicity im prone to :wash, air dry overnight, brush and goooo! Melissa gave a very professional insightful plan of action and suggested I actually try to go for more texture and keep a bit more length than I anticipated. My at home crazy colorjob was praised and appreciated! The result is stunning, simple to replicate and makes me feel incredible.

Im not typically much of a talker but honestly Melissas vibe was so relaxed and friendly I had a blast. The booking experience by phone was very smooth and efficient, cancellation policy was clearly outlined with confidence and checkout was swift since my card was already on file. I like this salon a-lot, it’s cute, clean, colorful, smells lovely with more natural scents and has continuity of style. The 9 am weekday appointment wasn’t too people-y and I felt greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. So utterly disappointed that the one crystal clear instruction I gave wasn't listened to. Not sure why I even paid for this haircut, but I was too stunned/angry/upset to speak. I clearly told my stylist, Ezra, that I wanted my hair to land "above my chin and below the bottom of my ear" I emphasized I wanted the length to land between those two spots, saying "at my jaw line". ALL of my hair is shorter than this. Not once did Ezra ask me for a reference photo, they did not check in with me partially through the cut, they did not ask after if I even liked it at the end. I felt comforted by the lack of questions, but I now know that is a red flag. Along with no questions for a reference photo, I was not asked about my hair texture or styling preference. I tried to give it a day to calm down, but I'm more upset a day later waking up to inches less hair than expected. I even said, when I finally looked up at myself, that it was much shorter than expected and Ezra did not comment. Really wish I hadn't paid for this. I'm giving two stars for the cleanliness and friendliness...

My experience here was amazing! I have always hated the way my head felt in the washing bowls but they had very comfortable chairs! I went to see Bella who is currently an assistant but will have her own chair on the floor in October so, I highly recommend her! I attended one of her classes. She died my hair and cut it, and not only is she talented in the hair department, but she is also a wonderful communicator. We did a pretty ambitious dye job (ambitious because I had lots of old dyes in my hair and wanted to go blonde) for bleached roots and besides accomplishing the exact look I wanted to achieve, she also made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the appointment. She consistently made me feel like I was involved in the next step of the process, ensuring that I had I control of my own hair. I really appreciated that aspect because in the past I had been caught off guard or anxious. I felt like that quality in a stylist really deserved a review.
