I'm still waiting for the day where I'll find really healthy, really tasty food. It seems that to get one, you have to sacrifice the other. Fuel comes close, but still pretty bland. Green Matcha Smoothie (Green tea powder and Skim Milk) was decently good. Probably not worth $4 for a small glass, though. I'll probably re-order. It's the lowest cal smoothie available. Small Hulk (Juice Bar- Cucumber, Lemon, Spinach, Apple) was relatively tasty, though definitely not worth $4 for a small glass. There was so much spinach pulp that it got nearly impossible to drink towards the last half of it. The Tomato Basil soup was not very good at all. Edible, but forgettable. The Chicken/Kale soup was pretty good! I'd get this again for sure. The South Philly wrap had good ingredients (fresh veggies, juicy chicken), though was pretty bland. The Thai Chicken Panini was decent, but I won't get it again. Very bland and kind of tough. The complimentary House Salad was delicious. The best things in life are free, I suppose. Overall Fuel is good if you care more about the Health part than the Taste part. The $$ price designation on Google is definitely right. This place's prices range from kind of fair-no way. If you're like me (frugal) go on Sunday- Soup and Panini(or wrap or flatbread) w/ House Salad for $10. I went with another person and after drinks and food it was $40, so I'm sure if we went on a day other than Sunday the damage would've been way worse.
All in all, I can see myself going back to try more stuff. The tofu looked great. But I can't see myself making this place a...

We ordered lunch from the South Philly location (located on E. Passyunk) and it was simply delicious! I love that the whole menu takes into account the "health factor," but doesn't skimp on taste. Each menu item is marketed as under 500 calories and I appreciate that the nutritional information is readily available so I am making a health informed decision for lunch. The dishes are unique in the sense that all the ingredients are fresh, and there are slight variations from options you may be familiar with - case in point, the goat cheese infused guac!
I ordered the Asian Crunch salad with the peanut vinaigrette. It was hearty and filling without making you feel bad about yourself. The portion was ample, filled with brown rice, arugula, broccoli, carrots, peppers, garbanzo beans, I added jalapeños for some kick, and can't forget the crunchy noodles that add just the right about of texture complimenting the vegetables.
I'm glad this place is closeby and being a vegetarian the options on the menu are plentiful! I haven't dined in yet, but I definitely will be exploring more of their menu, especially...
Read moreWell, this is my last time ordering from fuel. I used to order from fuel daily until they reduce their portions. They used to give one chicken thigh… now if you’re lucky it’s a .25 you get on your sandwich. I honestly dont know what happen to this place. But what I can tell you they are ripping people off. I would recommend going somewhere else to get your monies worth.
Reply: I wasn’t sure if it was chicken breast or thigh. Regardless, Fuel decreased their portion and increased their prices. It’s extremely dishonest to customers to do. Again fuel was amazing a few years again, but now you have cut back so much it’s not worth going back.
Update 6/1/2022 I wanted to try out fuel again. It’s been about a year - maybe quality control have improved? Unfortunately, their food is still disgusting (see pictures) . Fuel use to take pride in their meals. Man I use order their everyday during the work week (no joke). Now they have given me multiple reasons to never come back. Not to mention, the cooks were arguing with the hosts which in from prospective is...
