received a letter from JCPL to re-bill all previous year's bills, dated 8/25/2021, received 8/28, asking extra $443.99. Call the same day but no reps. The letter encouraged us to make payment arrangement. However, our credit card was already charged this morning. Started to call around 2:00 pm, waited for over an hour to reach a person, but the reps hang up when we tried to confirm the account number. Called again, waited over an hour again, asked supervisor. Ken, ID 50972, self-claimed supervisor, but obviously not. Tried to ask an explanation why JCPL sent us a latter on Saturday then charged us on Monday immediately. Ken just kept talking that's how JCPL charges for customers who signed up for automatic payment. When asked for supervisor, Ken refused to transfer and shouted to us "dummy." this is the worst customer service anyone could possibly image. Read moreJCPL are single-handedly the worst power company in the US. Their customer service is trash, every single one of them is rude. The estimate the readings almost every month, and they estimate them way lower so that in the next coming months they can up charge you an insane amount. I specifically said we will not be paying for estimates readings any longer and they noted that they will not charge us for estimates anymore, but for December the estimates again. They also said our bill was $888 when they specifically told us that they were going to break up augusts bill over the next 12 months which they clearly did not do. They don’t even try to work with you. If we could switch companies we would in a heartbeat but sadly we are stuck with them. We will make it a point to buy our next home where JCPL does not service. Called 3 weeks later to check on where the check was and was told they cancelled my request because they weren’t reviewing any requests at that time and had to wait until a week after for them to review, but instead they cancelled it and NEVER notified me. I then had to ask for a second request to be sent To get MY money back. I was told I would see it. Then they applied money to my account BEFORE THE BILL WAS DUE!!! Now they’re telling me the THIRD request means I’ll get the remainder of the security deposit. This company has garbage communication and assistance to their clients.
