Well, I went and got a full set of gels. At first, I was excited. It had been a while since I had my nails done. Then came doomsday!
Initially when I went in for a scheduled appointment I sat down. She didn't even do a consult to see how I like my nails, what kind of tips do I like and I was scheduled for acrylic nails. She convinced me I needed to go with gel. As she started, she just started gluing on some tips. One's I've never seen that were very pointed. I was puzzled by the tips and then she cut one of the tips and said is this a good length. "More natural" she kept on saying. So, as the appointment goes forward, I tell. my nail tech, I like ultra curved nails. Can you build them up? I ask. She's adding a little more gel, and I'm nervously hoping she's going to build it up high enough, but she didn't. Then I told her I needed a 2 min break, she just kept telling me no basically because someone else was waiting. She's obviously rushing at this point. Which irritated me because what happens when your rushing? Mistakes, poor workmanship. She polished my nails and didn't cover the sides of the nails. My nails are way too wide for my nail bed. I have a cut under one nail. And my nails on one hand are significantly shorter than the other hand. She was nice, but when you're paying $ 60.00 almost you want your nails to look good. I put in a call to the shop and got voice mail. Basically, I want a refund. The cut on my finger was the icing on the cake. I'm highly disappointed. I want to soak these nails off. They look manly and sloppy. I'm just bummed out. And I can't return to get them fixed because I flew back to Idaho. I was treating myself, and it was not quality workmanship. I know, I've been to nail tech school. I just don't do my own nails. I wouldn't recommend this establishment. Edit: I messaged them, left a voicemail and emailed them. All of which the shop was nonresponsive to. That relayed the message to me the shop doesn't really care I was upset. I was hoping to seek resolution of some sort. I am quite surprised they didn't respond especially after they commented on the review I left with an apology. That was their effort to portray to other people seeing the review that they cared. When in all they really don't, or they would have reached back out to me. It's been over a week since I reached out to the shop. Obviously, they are in it just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGosh! Why can't every nail tech be consistent how they are trained? It's so hard to find someone who shapes well and has a good technique. Bless his heart, but the very thin guy tried to do his best but his technique of how he handled my fingers and feet was pretty rough! He was trying to get a good angle which I get, but in the process he was twisting and turning my hands and feet very hard which hurt. When it came time to getting the nails ready to put the paint on it was like a light touch of the file so the gel nail polish didn't even last for 4 days on two of my fingers and not evenly spread on some of the other fingers. There was no time put into rubbing the lotion evenly on my hands and legs, patchy bits of lotion were left. The product for my cuticles was runny. I could feel the grit of previous nails that were filed so the counters weren't wiped down. I could see dust and dirt I mean come on people just wipe after each person, it doesn't take long. In dentistry, we have to wipe and sterilize the room after each person. Pedicure came out okay but he was still rough while trying to angle my toes. I had to move in a position where I was comfortable after he moved my toes to his comfort level. Everything was just robotically done procedure wise, although he did have a pleasant personality when speaking to me hence the two stars. It was a very uncomfortable experience. I would love to go back to get those two nails corrected but it's so far from me and trying to find the time is tricky. It's so disappointing to pay all of that money plus tip for a...
