Tell me you don’t like black customers without saying you don’t like black customers…..I’ve hesitated writing this review, but today was my 3rd negative experience in this store. It’s clear to me the older white female employees in the store refuse to help the black customers. I was waiting in line with my husband, and an older white female employee was the only cashier at the time, and she was checking out a customer. There was a woman in front of me, which made her next up to be helped, and then we were next, which made us 3rd in line to be helped. The older white employee called the younger employee over to assist the person standing in front of us. I turned to my husband and whispered to him in reference to the older cashier, “she is either going to walk away after she is done, or intentionally take longer so that we end up being checked out by the other girl”. Sure enough when it was our turn, I walked up to the counter and the older employee excused herself, because she said she needed to tell the customer she just checked out something, and she would be right back. Because of this we ended up being checked out by the younger employee. As we were checking out, the older employee comes to the register to “fake” apologize and then bizarrely offered me a pamphlet for Christmas Ornaments. To add insult to injury, I wasn’t purchasing a card for a happy occasion, I was actually purchasing a sympathy card. Again, this is my 3rd time experiencing being pushed off to younger employees from the older employees. Looking back at the reviews of this location, it’s clear not much has changed since the negative review from 5 years ago, with another black customer having a...
Read moreI just left this store and I am upset, I left work early today because I am on my way to my cousin's wedding, I wanted to get a card. I quickly got my card and I proceeded to the cash register next to the door. I was second in line, the cashier who is a middle aged white woman who was waiting on another older white woman. As soon as she is done with the white lady in front of me she leaves the cash register and begins to sell tote bags to a couple of other white ladies who just walked in the store and holds a conversation!!!! Then I thought she knows them maybe it's just a one off, but she does not come back to the register, she goes and stands in front of the door and begins to sell tote bags to another group of white ladies that just walked into the store!!! I am still standing at the register totally ignored. I am black bald headed and was taller then the lady that was in front of me, you could not have missed me!!!! But I will be sure to spread the word of what just happened!!! I dropped the card on the counter, I did not say anything and I went over to the Acme to...
