I (We) must say, this was a very positive experience. We went to Levin in Wexford with no expectations. We have been considering a new mattress king size since our current one is about 15 years old. When we entered the store, we were greeted by Alexus R. We told Alexus we stopped in in a whim, while we were on or way past the store after getting coffee. She pointed us to the mattress department and gave us our space to look around. After several minutes, she reconnected with us and re-educated us on the various mattresses in the store. After settling on a mattress, and before closing the sale, we started to look at new furniture, after all, what good is a new mattress if not paired with a new bedroom suite, and given our current is our original, we are due. Again, Alexus gave us the time we wanted to look at the furniture. Once we settled on two sets, Alexus re-joined us and did a comparison. We talked through the details of the purchase and delivery. It was at this time we mentioned to Alexus that we had a less than positive experience 36 months ago when we purchased living room furniture and it took 18 months for the delivery. She assured us that the furniture is in the warehouse, and it is scheduled for delivery in October. Unfortunately, upon delivery, there was an issue with a small tear on the side. The driver contacted CS and they gave us 3 options; we chose the 10% discount. During assembly of the sofa, they could not figure out where the plug for the charging station went. Several phone calls later, they were told the sofa should have a second transformer/plug. Somehow this voided the 10% discount offer until someone contacted us. Supposedly that was to happen the same day. Later that evening I called to check and they said that they see the notes, and most likely it will take place the next day. No call came the next day, so I called the third day and they said that they don’t see any notes about any issues. After explaining in detail the conversation we had with the driver and customer service, who he had on speaker, I realized she hung up on us. Called back. Explained everything again and this woman said we needed to speak with the salesperson who sold us the sofa and chair. She left her a message to call us back because she was with another customer, but we never heard from her either, before they closed. Tomorrow, I will call again. Hopefully they will keep their word and take care of the issue without me having to drive up there. Read moreLevin furniture quality and customer service has declined horribly. Purchased a sectional couch there with their warranty and have had no help whatsoever. The alleged leather couch began to crack and peel all over. It’s less than 5 years old still within the warranty but somehow the warranty doesn’t cover this issue. I will never buy from Levin furniture again and wanted to warn others of the same. The warranty is a waste of money as it doesn’t cover anything and with as much as we paid for the couch I would have expected it to last longer than 5 years. Also they were apparently well aware of this issue as the reps I talked to had me describe in detail what happened so they could tell me it wasn’t covered and told me there was nothing I could do. Ridiculous! Stay away!
Just as a follow up to Levin's response, I forgot to add this when it occurred. But I spoke with the customer service people who contacted me and they did not offer to fix the problem with the furniture or even address the fact that the warranty didn't cover the known issue with the couch. They offered me $200 in store credit. I asked if they would just mail me the money and they said no. So essentially their way of addressing the issue is to ask me to spend more money in their store but give me a measly discount. Never again Levin,...
