Fort Pipestone is a neat and interesting historical tourist attraction that is just right down the road from Pipestone National Monument. It is a remade version of an actual fort that was in the area in the 1800s. There is a nice gift shop inside the fort with lots of unique gifts. You can walk along top of the fort.

A nice visit. Has a small gift shop available on site. Also has native artisans there to speak to and observe their craft making in progress. There is a paved hiking trail around the monument. A majority of the trail can be accessed by persons utilizing canes, walkers or wheel chairs.

Fun stop right next to the National Park. They've got a great gift shop and the owner is friendly. The fort structure needs some attention so he mindful of nails and a few other hazards if you have young children. Would have loved to see this place at its peak, but definitely worth...
