The online selection is wanting as with many other airsoft websites, where they differ is the complete and utter lack of communication.
I know I've never shopped here before and let me tell you, I won't make this mistake again. I made a large order and forgot to hit the free shipping button which is automatically clicked on every single other website where applicable. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
I then try to contact Amped Airsoft. LOL. I laugh because it's so frustrating dealing with companies like this... I tried calling, emailing and their chat button and no one seems to have been working the past week. Voicemails are unreturned, the chat icon is useless and I feel that email just isn't being checked.
I received my package today and surprise surprise, not a single grenade, I bought 25 of them... I stayed at the house all day since I knew I had to sign for these. Just a waste of time.
By the way, I think they use the third party app Route to justify their lack of communication and lack of order fulfillment.
I think this place scammed me and I don't appreciate it at all. If this isn't a scam, they need to learn to check email, voicemails, phone calls and probably pay their bills as well. This isn't run properly at all.
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!
EDIT
I have since received a response that seems like they're doubling down on the nonsense. I have tried emailing them back with delivery failures for every email I have received from Amped Airsoft as well as the delivery company. Additionally, no emails from this company are in my spam, deleted or other folders. Also no phone calls or any other communications outside this lengthy response to my review. You'd think they would send me an email right? Nope LOL
It's sad that they would choose to insult me and tell me to check my email rather than try to resolve this issue or contact me directly. You know, to prove that's what they've been doing this whole time.
I'll trust you that the rest of my order comes on the 28th although no tracking info is in my email for this, just the one for the delivery today.
It seems like we will communicate in the open on Google since you won't email me or call me.
Is this just a bit for Festivus? If so, I've got a bit more to...
Read moreOnce upon a time, in the mystical land of Amped Airsoft, I embarked on a perilous quest to transform my humble EMG M16A1 into a weapon worthy of the gods. It was not a simple task, for the ancient tomes of airsoft lore spoke of the HPA gearbox—a marvel of engineering that few dared to craft and even fewer could perfect.
I ventured to the wizards of Amped Airsoft, who dwell in a fabled workshop said to rival the forges of Hephaestus himself. With trembling hands, I sent forth my weapon, entrusting it to their legendary artisans. Days passed like eternity, and I awaited their word with bated breath, like a hero awaiting the prophecy of their destiny.
When the day finally came, and the Redline N7 Milsim gearbox was delivered to my hands, I was awestruck. Amped Airsoft had not merely created a gearbox; they had imbued it with the very essence of rad power. This was no ordinary custom HPA gearbox—nay, it was a masterpiece forged by airsoft demigods.
The trigger response? Lightning fast, as if Zeus himself powered each shot. The consistency? Unwavering, like the resolve of a noble knight. The craftsmanship? Immaculate, a testament to their tireless dedication and otherworldly skill. The packaging? Not even the most disgruntled USPS worker could have marred its contents.
But what truly sets Amped Airsoft apart is their commitment to their craft. Throughout the process, their sages kept me informed, sharing updates and offering wisdom on trigger selection and compatibility. They treated my humble M16A1 as if it were Excalibur, ensuring every detail was perfect.
Now, on the airsoft battlefield, I pose to be unstoppable. My foes will tremble in there out box, before the might of the Amped-forged HPA powered M16A1, and I stride forth as a hero reborn. If you seek greatness for your airsoft armory, look no further than Amped Airsoft. They are not mere merchants—they are the legendary smiths of our age, and their work is nothing short of magic.
Five stars? Nay, five kingdoms’ worth of stars for Amped Airsoft! Long may they reign as the masters...
Read moreCustomer service: Both online and in store. My emails/messages are answered via their customer service, and in person the employees are easy to deal with. Any issues I have had in the past were quickly and professionally resolved.
The store: The showroom is a bit small, however it is an online retailer for the most part, so this makes sense. Anything not on the wall, but is listed as "in stock" on the website is physically there. It's a neat, clean store and it's not hard to find what you're looking for.
Prices: their prices are competitive with the big online retailers (think Evike, airsoft gi, etc) and are often lower in many cases. When you're talking about expensive AEGs or HPA systems, the difference can be significant at times in Amped's favor.
Finally, I want to say that the guys behind the counter at Amped actually go to events as participants, not just as retailers, though Amped takes their trailer to all kinds of events all over the country. They keep an ear to the ground in the local Pennsylvania/Ohio airsoft community, and I feel like Amped is a store that is actually run by enthusiasts of the hobby. Their employees builds are even displayed in the showroom, and I think that is evidence...
