I'm not sure if the owner is just senile or if there is a deeper mental issue, but I have never in my life encountered a more unprofessional, angry, jealous business owner. While walking back from the Saturday Morning Market this weekend my girlfriend and I were occasionally pausing to take photos because it was a beautiful day. Her apartment is one building from this florist. Before we entered her apartment we stopped to take a selfie with some flowers she purchased from the market on the sidewalk in front of her building. We were rudely interrupted by the owner of Leone's who decided to COME OUTSIDE his store to yell "YOU BETTER NOT TAKE THAT PICTURE" I responded , "Excuse me?!" He then berated us saying "YOU DIDN'T BUY THOSE FLOWERS HERE, YOU BETTER NOT TAKE THAT PICTURE." We explained that she lived there and that we'd take whatever picture we wanted. He said, "YOU'RE TAKING PICTURES OF MY SHOP!" I explained his shop wasn't in any of the photos and he said "YES IT IS I SAW IT" At this point I'm getting pretty angry. I explained to him he doesn't own the sidewalk and that he'd better shut up and not ever tell myself, my girlfriend, or anyone else what they can and cant do outside of his store. He yelled "NEVER TAKE A PHOTO OF MY SHOP AGAIN OR ELSE!" And stormed off. This all took place in broad daylight in front of other members of the public. I've never encountered a business owner so jealous and rude that he would come outside to berate and threaten random passersby out of jealousy. I confronted him again and he refused to apologize. We weren't loitering or causing a commotion, he just saw we had flowers that we bought down the street. Maybe he should retire if he can't interact with the public. I'm still shaking I'm so angry. UPDATE: TEN MONTHS LATER STILL TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO RESPOND OR APOLOGIZE. Absolute loser.
EDIT TWO YEARS LATER STILL NO APOLOGY. DIRT BAG. Plus all of his replies just blame the customer? LOSER. Heāll never acknowledge me because he is a coward who knows he is wrong and an apology would be an admittance that he harasses the local community even when they arenāt in his store. Wish dude would have dropped the flowers and handled it like a man. Oh well - talks a big game behind his...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience. Price was not disclosed at time of request and there was no follow phone call which the owner Ron had admitted to. I went to the shop to amend the situation by requesting a partial refund, he told me that roses were $7 each the others were $5 each and the vase was $20. I brought the product with me to show that I did not receive what he was saying I should have received. He agreed to give a $50 credit back to the card as long as the bad review was taken down. Bribing a customer to take down bad reviews goes against ftc guidelines which I'm sure with how poorly Ron handles complaints (by blaming the customer and not taking accountability) probably does not know the basic fundamentals of business management. The $50 is worth spreading the word on the two negative experiences, which he denied.
In response to Ron's response: the exact words from my mouth were that I was not looking to return the product, but based off of the price breakdown and comparatively to products on your website we did not receive a fair arrangement which is why I brought the arrangement in, to show you what we received. You asked me how I would like to see this situation amended and I then asked you as a business owner what you would see fit as a fair amendment. You told me $50 to remove the bad review and only when it was removed would be when the partial refund would take place. It was an honest review, as this also is, and it's not about needing the money but rather the treatment from you, being taken advantage of as well as being ripped off. The recount of the phone conversation your employee gave about the phone exchanged is inaccurate as she was the one who hung up after being asked about a price breakdown which was denied and which I later received from you personally, it did not add up to what we received. I hope this concludes any exchanges with you or your business and hope that maybe you find a business ethics class useful for the future and that hopefully from these honest negative reviews that you learn and treat future customers with dignity and respect because people deserve that. Good day and good luck...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould NOT recommend as owner is extremely rude and delivers the wrong flowers, then is rude to nurses at UPMC hospital!
My wife ordered flowers to be delivered to a chemotherapy nurse at UPMC hospital. First, the wrong flowers were delivered and a bow was missing on the vase. After calling the owner to complain, he said they didn't have the flowers in stock that were ordered but would return to tie a bow on the vase. After complaining again after the bow he tied looked horrible (think double knotted and twisted beyond belief), he said he would replace the whole thing with the flowers he originally claimed not to have! After stating that fact to him he literally YELLED over the phone for 15 minutes complaining how my wife was being unreasonable because he got the order wrong. In the end he went back and TOOK THE FLOWERS AWAY FROM THE NURSE. I could not believe the disrespect he showed her and the other nurses.
Stay away from this place, there are much better florists...
