Update: I come here every time I make a care package up for my kids! Then of course i HAVE to grab something for dinner for us while im there! Orig. Comment: We waited WAY too long to come here! What a wonderful Italian feast for the eyes! From the minute we walked in, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, browsing the great variety of pastas, cheeses, Italian treats and delicious looking meats. It brought back memories for my sister and myself, and we found ourselves laughing and thinking wonderful thoughts of our Italian mother and all the little things she would have so loved in the store-including Dean Martin! We thought we were in heaven! We were lucky enough to nab a "fresh from the oven" Asiago Cheese bread to take home.. and in remembrance of mom, we dug into it without waiting to get it home! (she would always tear the heel of the Italian bread off and enjoy it on her way home from the store!) The cheese bread was melt-in-your mouth INCREDIBLE! I can't wait to go back and try some of the ready made dinners.(and get more Asiago bread of course!) The eggplant lasagna looked wonderful! And the best part? The owner is a sweetheart and even though she had never met us before she treated us like family! Love her! We WILL be back and I have a feeling this is going to be a common stop for me...
Read moreI had called ahead and ordered a bonless veal breast. I specifically asked for a bonless veal breast with a pocket for stuffing. I was instead given a veal breast with the bone in it. I opened my package and I was even greeted with a hair on it. When I called to make sure I wasn't charged for the bonless and explained I was given the wrong order their response was "what's your question?" I was told they were a friendly small family business. That was not my experience. Don't buy any spices in the back if the store near the deli, they are obviously expired and the packaging is greasy and dusty. Check the dates on anything you buy off the shelves. My experience was that this is an old family business that is so set in their ways that they believe they can make mistakes like ruin someone's Easter meal by giving them the wrong order and that's ok. My family also owns a family restaurant, believe me I know how customers can be. I totally get it. I wasn't looking for a refund, just making sure I didn't over pay for the wrong thing, I wasn't looking for anything but clarification, maybe a sorry? Didn't get any of that. I was hung up on. It's old, dirty and dingy place with rude people...
Read moreMy very 1st experience was non existent. I was calling in an order, was getting 3 hoagies, my 3 year was crying & just keep continuously wanting my attention, I was trying to avoid that of course. I was 2 hoagies in, the older lady confirmed what I was ordering easily, I was about to get to 3rd hoagie, lady blurts out, " You need to tell her to stop"! I was stunned to say the least. I literally was stunned, I hung up, never called back. I decided to still give them a shot. I called, got 3 hoagies & some cold pasta salads. When we got there, it was a madhouse. Couldn't find my order, kept trying to give me things that weren't my order, got home, no cheese on my hoagies. The Cole slaw is just horrible, no taste what so ever. The buns were nothing special kind of hard really. Def tried & I...
