Stater Bros. Markets — Local services in Placentia

This is master fubar's wife. I read other reviews rating poorly of Stater Bros. so I did not wish to shop there. It was EXCELLENT! I was dead wrong. The one in Placentia is truly STUNNING! Beautiful and clean parking lot, plenty of spaces, no carts anywhere besides where they belong. The inside was well maintained and lushly stocked. Everyone inside the customers were warm and complimented our three year old daughter and everyone was extremely polite even though the store was busy for the holidays soon to come. The employees no matter who you asked were so helpful asking to do things for my husband me and our daughter before we even asked. Paper bags were available for free at checkout instead of plastic which is so more Eco friendly. The cashier was funny and heart warming, the one who bagged the stuff was polite, and there was even an employee at the end of the line that asked if we wanted help to our car. I loved this shopping experience. The prices are lower than Vons and Ralphs it is on Target level of price range but you get a grade A experience. I would recommend this store to strangers I passed by on the street. We LOVE this store and will be doing our shopping there from here on out. My husband and I stopped at this cute market on our trip yesterday and I am not one to write many reviews but this experience was pretty poor I feel I need to share. We stopped by on Saturday night at about 8pm and our cashier was an older lady with dark hair and she was absolutely SO UNPROFESSIONAL! She was judgemental about our purchases and proceeded to pick apart why we were purchasing red bull and vodka in the same purchase. That is absolutely none of her business and she repeatedly put us down for how poor that is for our health.She made us want to put our things back and take our business elsewhere, she was so so rude and should not be a cashier if she is going to put her views onto others, it was pretty bad. I was excited to find a cute somewhat local market for future trips but our experience completely changed that. As a cashier your job is to ring up our items and accept money and she was WAY out of line and really hope she understands that. I specifically will never come to this store or chain again and will let our friends and family know to take their business anywhere else but here. Great store. BIG Deli, Bakery & Sushi Counter. Seafood Counter & (Meat of Course!) Theres a Fresh Cut Produce Counter in back of their Produce Department. You will see 1-2 associates working a good part of the day. Always in stock you'll find cut Fruit prepack (melon slices, various mixed fruit bowls) & Veggie Trays, salsa, guacamole. All sizes from individual, family to party size!

In addition, they have meals ready to take home & cook, aleady in metal pan!

Make your own planned entree & add one of their side dishes. Or pick up an entree & add your own favorite side, or pick up everything for your meal pre cut, seasoned and packed to go!
