Del Taco — Restaurant in Placentia

Updated review. I figured I'd give this location another try after 7 months since they are open late. Unfortunately the staff was too busy messing around and talking to notice customers. After waiting several minutes in an empty restaurant they finally took my order. The ambiance was unpleasant since the staff was blasting terrible rap music in the kitchen while completely different music was playing on the speakers. The tacos again had almost nothing in them. I have been going to this location for ten years and they used to be the best Del Taco around. In the last six months the service and food have gone downhill. Whenever dining-in the staff is very unattentive and it takes forever to get anyones attention, order and get your food. Multiple times lately we have had food that was seriously lacking quantity. Bean and cheese burritos with a half teaspoon of cheese, tacos with just a couple of shreds of lettuce and a bit of cheese. Hardly any chili on chili cheese fries when I paid for extra. To the owner....the Manager that works every day including today needs to be fired...my family goes to this restaurant almost everyday and the way she treated my family is so appauling...she said we should take our business elsewhere...yelled at my family through the drive through while my kids were in the car...this is unacceptable...where does this employee think she works....obviously she doesn't know good customer service....so we will be taking our business to the other del taco...we are willing to drive out of our way because the food is good and the prices are reasonable but your employee, who is a reflection of this business.....is totally inappropriate. Stop in last night for dinner before walking the Brea Christmas lights. My son ordered the cheese burger combo and began feeling poorly about half hour into our walk. Had to help hold him up to get him to the car while hoping he did not have an accident. Not living in the area we drove 45 minutes to reach Brea and had to make a mad dash to find a public restroom in the area. I hope no one had the misfortune to walk into the CVS bathroom my son spent 30 minutes in jettisoning his Del Taco dinner.

Thankfully the epic chicken burrito did not make me sick, but it require copious amounts of el scorcho sauce to get it down.

The fries were by far the best part of the meal and the staff was friendly.

Tried phoning them earlier, no one answered.
