Nerdy Dave’s is the best electronic repair around !!!!!!
My computer crashed last Friday so I was searching for a new place close to home to get it fixed. I didn’t want to take it back where I had it fixed 1 1/2 years ago with a new hard drive. I called Nerdy Dave’s to get an idea what my problem might be and from what I told him he said it sounded like my hard drive had crashed. Since it was Friday afternoon I had to wait till Monday morning to take it in. Nerdy Dave checked out my computer as I waited and yes the hard drive was done as well as the power supply. I asked Nerdy Dave if he could use my old drive I had to replace 1 1/2 years ago and try to get the data off of it as the other shop said they had trouble but could still xget my data. Nerdy Dave checked out the year and a half old drive that had been replaced and it was working fine. Nerdy Dave was able to clone the drive, replace the power supply with a few other improvements. Nerdy Dave had my computer working like it was before the crash (minus the year and a half of data sense the last replacement) and I got it back on Tuesday the next day. I can’t thank Nerdy Dave enough for saving the day, our computer and data at a very reasonable price. His number is 530/903/3434 and his office is in Placerville . Thank you, Thank you Nerdy...
Read morewhile the service was friendly i didnt really appreciate the 100% mark up on my arctic mx6, msrp's for 11 and some change. Got it for 25.42
Gotta make money i know, but double the price and some is a little silly
Edit: So at the time i made this post i could find the mx6 (4gram) for 11 but it looks like it went up a bit. Attached is the price you'd pay for a 2g (7.99) and 4g(12.49) when you go directly from the manufacturers recommendation to buy from amazon which ends up 21.97 after tax which is still less than i was charged for the single 4g. Take away the 2g and it grand totals for 13.40 which makes the 25.42 juuuust shy of a 100% mark up
If i didn't need the product in a hurry i would have just waited and saved some money, and again i understand trying to make money on a product I'm just expressing it "Feels" like I'm getting robbed when i pay double the price of suggested retail and even more so when you think of how the money exchange works every time that product moves hands to sell its 50% more because everyone's got to get that cut right?
anyway this isn't a personal shot at anyone, like i said customer service was friendly, so ill bump to a 3 for the reply. And maybe switch suppliers to amazon since you can get the product in 3 days instead of 2 weeks and...
Read moreit's been a couple years since i actually went in to see him, but honestly, the moment i saw the self-repair manifest on the wall was the moment i was able to relax. this guy is cool. he knows his stuff about computers.
he got me a good PSU/CPU/motherboard for reasonable prices (i still use the rig today, though with a new graphics card since i saw him before!). he was able to figure out my issue pretty quickly, offered me solutions, and helped install the new parts.
anyway. 5/5. this guy rocks. lgbt ally just by virtue of fixing a trans person's (me) computer
