El Dorado County Library | Placerville Branch — Attraction in Placerville

This is so much more than an awesome library in a beautiful park like setting, this is a community hub. There were multiple groups hanging out under the trees picnicking and practicing skills, there was a mobile unit offering free covid tests, there's free wifi, the women's restroom is stocked with feminine products, and there's an outdoor portapotty too for the groups that stay past closing. There seems to be a lot of community outreach happening here, and everyone I talked to was really friendly. Very chill atmosphere. Made me wish I were spending more time in the area instead of passing through. If I find myself in this region again I'll definitely come back. Worth...

I love it here. The staff is so nice, they are always ready to help and answer questions. They may not always have the book I'm looking for, but it's usually within the county, and it can be transferred within a few days at most. Other than that, the library offers services to help the homeless and people struggling with food insecurity. It's just overall an amazing place, and I'm grateful to live...

I enjoy going to the main Placerville library. The staff is always friendly, they have a decent amount of books, and they have Internet and computer address if you need it.
