Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in Placerville

This Big 5 location is great. The employees are really nice and helpful and their inventory is always stocked. I bought an inversion table today which was bulky and heavy. One of the employees carried it out for me to my car and figured out a way to get it to fit in my rental car that I didn't know how to operate (the back seats had to come down for box to fit but I couldn't figure out how to do it, haha!). There was a piece of trash in the trunk from the previous renter and he even offered to take it to the trash for me in his way back into the store. The employees are always very nice every time...

Went to Walmart and Kmart in Placerville and they didn't have any items in stock that I needed for camping ie solar camping showers and Big 5 had 6 showers on the floor and I don't know how many in the back after searching all day long next time I will go to Big 5 first for all things foot or camping related... And on a personal note the sales associate immediately pointed me in the right direction and saved me a bunch of time searching for the needed items. Time I wasted in Walmart and Kmart about a 2 and a half hours total. So thanks Big 5...

Very cramped space. They need a bigger building to showcase their item better. I wasn't asked for any assistance at all. I was shopping for shoes. I did find a reasonably prices pair which are very comfortable and seem to be very durable. If some minor changes are made this could be a great store.
