I have been collecting cards since 1985. I have visited many card shops, not just in Florida, but in many other states as well. A few years ago I stopped going to stores all together and did all of my buying and selling online. My 12 year old son has now gotten really into collecting recently and I wanted to take him to his first card store this week. He was off from school on a Wednesday so I decided to locate a store to take him to. I began to read reviews and found a store 30 minutes away from me with amazing reviews. Due to the logistics, I called the store to avoid driving out and finding the store closed. The owner, Steve, answered the phone but advised me that he is not open on Wednesdays (it was a Wednesday), however, he was at the store and told me to swing by with my son. I took my son to the store and Steve was amazing. Since the store was closed, he not only allowed us to come in but stopped everything he was doing to make my son's experience perfect. The prices were super cheap and when we paid Steve, he gave my son and I extra free items as a thank you and to make my son's experience even better. If you collect and reside in Florida or are just visiting, you need to visit this store. All I have written about is the amazing service but the merchandise Steve has in his store is AMAZING! I am a very picky person, especially when it involves my children, this store is where you need to take your kids if they are starting to collect anything sports related. It was such a pleasant surprise to find this store a few months back. They have a huge assortment of different collectibles like trading cards, baseball cards, sports memorabilia, movie memorabilia, signed cd's, sports jerseys, different collectible figurines, and the thing that initially drew me and my son in: a plethora of pokemon cards. It has been the highlight of My son's day each and every time we've gone in there. Tonight we got there right before they closed and I will say I was more than impressed with how nice and accommodating all the staff were, especially Mike. No one ever became irritated or frustrated with any of our questions or anything even though it was at least 20 minutes past when they were supposed to close. The way that they interacted with my 7year old son was so nice and genuine and it absolutely made his night. Even though they could have easily asked me to leave because they were closed never once did it come up, quite the opposite actually, I was reassured numerous times not to worry and to take my time, so refreshing given all the hostility In most places you go to nowadays. The store has quite a selection of collectible items. The issue I have was with the kid they had running the register. My boyfriend was trying to look at the cards and the kid said to him "this is where we check out customers". If you don't want someone looking at cards so close to the register, then move them. The second time was when we were standing in line and he asked if we were ready to checkout and my boyfriend said yes and started to hand the cards he was buying to the kid and he said very rudly, "I have to finish with him first." I get that you're trying to teach your kid some responsibility, but you should also teach him manners and to be friendly to people shopping...
