I had an excellent 35-year-old Technics stereo system that I wanted to give to my son, since he grew up listening to it and attached a lot of sentimental value to it. It had been in storage for 4 years, and when we set it up we found that the Technics SL-QD33 direct drive turntable was no longer working. I brought it in to Chris, and he and Tom worked their wizardly talents on it and got it working perfectly. They took it apart, cleaned and relubricated it, replaced some capacitors, and found that the main circuit board had gone bad. far as i know there is no one like them in the 50-100mile radius of their shop. the best in the area! well...
