I was looking for a great Hibachi place and booked reservations with high hopes based off of the more recent google reviews. We arrived a little earlier then the 3:30 reservation but were still able to be seated rather quickly but then turned rather uncomfortable once realizing the front end manager who had began taking down our drink orders began yelling out to an employee who had just finished serving his table across from us and was about to walk out on his break. She told him to switch that around to begin serving us and wait until someone else came in at 4pm to take his break. You could see the shock on his face and a bit of embarrassment. He stated he was already heading out on break and that wouldn’t work for him. She continued to pressure him in front of my party and when we began chatting amongst each other that we’d wait it was no big deal but the employee, very admirably asked that the manager please come speak to him about this in private not in front of the customers. I thought that was both amazingly professional of him and sad that he had to remind his supervisor of that. Moving on, the manager was still unable to get the drink order correct , hear nor there , the server corrected her mistake. The soup and salad were mediocre. Salad was sitting prepared for too long so the tomatoes were soggy and nasty and the lettuce tasted like a refrigerator that hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The dressing was chunky and sparse. The soup was room temperature and but oily for my liking. We had put in our orders, the cook, Kevin came out and began cooking. I’m not sure if it was just a rough day or maybe he was having the same issue with his manger that day too but he seemed to be off and not fully engaged. I’ve been to many hibachis and watching the other tables around us I couldn’t help but feel a bit slighted in terms of engagement, fun, performance. He struggled a bit with cooking times and seasoning. The rice was hard and without any flavor. It seemed all of the good he prepared was all overdone. NOW THE WORST PART…. to be CLEAR myself and my fiancé ordered the filet mignon - MEDIUM!!!!!! though my plate had shrimp and his had scallops. AGAIN as I have stated on other reviews, we are steak people, not ONLY was the steak WELL DONE but they had the AUDACITY TO BRING OUT AND COOK AND PROCEEDED TO SERVE US SOME REGULAR STEAK NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HAVING THE CONSISTENCY OF FILET MIGNON EVEN BEING COOKED WELL DONE!!! I have attached the pictures! we both looked at each other flabbergasted. At the rate of not wanting to be stuck there any longer and watching the food preparation process we handed the cook his tip money which he seemed to not care about and walked away. BEST PART WAS BEING BILLED FOR THE FILET MIGNON KNOWING IT WAS NOT NO DANG FILET MIGNON!!! that’s fraudulent on so many levels!! My daughter ate NOTHING so her box was taken to go, my son ate some bites but took to go didn’t like his chicken dry and hard. My box was packed as well. Again I had high hopes, maybe it was a bad day🤷🏻‍♀️ One can only hope

From the get-go I didn't have high expectations for sushi in the suburbs, however, this place made me rethink even giving it a shot. Though the sushi was presented nicely, the quality of the fish was abismal, especially considering the proximity to fish hubs (like Gloucester) in the broader area. We paid 20$/person (with tips) for two pieces of nigiri sushi and a small roll, which is by no means "cheap" sushi (though it's obviously not expensive either). The Ikura/salmon roe sushi (see pic) was by far the worst I've had, and the roe themselves were CHEWY and semi-frozen, sticking to each other like melted gummy bears. Disgusting, and quite obviously not fresh: this goes for the rest of the fish as well. The service was also awful, with the restaurant being out of green tea before even ordering. That may be nit-picky, but our complaints about the server are definitely not. Our waitress was unable to provide us with any recommendations because, she "like, doesn't eat sushi." Her borderline disgusted attitude towards us was truly the highlight of our experience at this restaurant, next to maybe the banana leaf laid next to the sushi plates. I'm not sure what kind of expectations I had for sushi in New Hampshire, but this place certainly didn't fail to disappoint.

We have been here many times and tend to order the same things because we like them. We like the Hibachi teriyaki bento 🍱 boxes because you get a nice variety of food and flavors. They come with soup, salad, hibachi fried rice, 2 tempura (panko) shrimp and usually 3 different tempura veges, plus two pork gyoza and your choice of protein over fried sweet onion. I always have leftovers. Tonight we both ordered the ribeye. The hub’s was nice, mine was super tough and overcooked. Normally I wouldn’t say anything, but tonight I did for some reason and the waitress was lovely about it. The brought me a new serving of the meat and it was much more tender and cooked nicely. I was thankful. We always sit on the dining room side, but over in the hibachi side of the restaurant in Kobe Buddha House at 89 Plaistow Rd, in Haverhill, let me tell you, it sounds like fun! There is always a crowd over there cheering on a chef or laughing about something. Maybe someday we’ll try it. We always see a bunch of people getting takeout. Parking can sometimes be a little tight, but other than that, it’s a great place to go. We tried the bao buns tonight. They were just OK. Not a fave. But the miso was awesome tonight. Lots of seaweed and really tasty.

The manager is a very ignorant person to make you sit where she wants you to sit and you're paying for your food at hibachi when nobody's sitting here we're sitting here waiting for a chef After making our reservations we are seated and being put in assigned seats as the table next to us gets to sit wherever they want and they are a party of two as well. The manager continues to come on over to our table to embarrass me in a high voice asking if I would like to move my seat and wait for other people I can step back outside I explained to her that I made reservations and I was just asked to be seated so I will not be stepping back outside other people finally arrived and lo and behold the seat next to me was still available and she continued to embarrass me by asking me if I would now like to move my seat knowing there are several more seats open. I told her to leave me alone she is embarrassing me and she said I am embarrassing myself I continue to ignore her as she kept talking I asked her to go away. She then made our table wait for last to be served everybody got their drink except me I had to ask for where my beverage was we also got taken out of line to have a chef and the people that came in afterwards were able to have their food before us and their beverages which I thought was very out of line. The manager certainly does not look happy with her job nor does she make the customers happy coming in arguing with them and trying to make a specular of people that have anxiety and don't want their backs face towards the door. Disabilities matter and people matter and if this is the way you're going to treat your customers maybe we will make sure that we never take a trip to the restaurant in Haverhill Mass again. The manager was very out of character and very ignorant to the entire table as well as to myself. We waited almost 2 hours just to get our stuff started I asked for her name and she ignored me and I asked for corporate number and she refused to give it to me. She had other stuff standing at the doorway watching us eat I thought this was very ignorant and I took a video of it. After I videoed I noticed they became a little more scared standing back in the crowd but still looking over our table. I will never everstop to eat here again in Haverhill Mass they've made me feel very uncomfortable and as this is my favorite restaurant to come to in Portland Maine I will continue to go to the one in Portland Maine in elsewhere and take the time to drive somewhere else as this was my friend's first trip to this restaurant and we were both very embarrassed for the manager and the way she was treating us as if our money was no good. If you want a family fun oriented place I don't think that this is the place for you this is my opinion. The manager needs to be spoken with and maybe have a couple of customer service relations classes to go along with her attitude. The gentleman who helped us cash out at check was very nice and the chef was outstanding. I was sick to my stomach after and I could not eat because I was so upset so I can continue with my food at home. The portions were a little scarce and I'm not sure why because usually you go home with seconds. I'm not a very big eater but I usually do go home with food left over. So needless to say if I can give this place a zero I would. I've been to other kobe restaurants and I've never been treated this waymatter of fact this is my favorite restaurant out of every restaurant there ever is and I will make sure it's a point that I never come back to...

My wife placed an order for Dayhana and sent me to get it. I walked in and noticed I had to wait behind a lovely family so I obliged. As soon as I saw the heavy set lady who was servicing the front I smiled and told her I had a pick up order for Dayhana. She speedily rushed passed me and said give me a few minutes. I said ok no problem. Looked at my phone and began to scroll. I noticed another guy and his wife came in and walked around the corner I couldn't see passed so I eased passed to see if there were other helpers but did not see any. I noticed another lady came in with her child and the heavy set lady rushed back and asked for her name for a pick up order. She said Jessica and the heavy set lady smiled and said ok one moment she grabbed her bag and sent her on her way. THIS is where the story takes a turn. She looks at me and asked the order name and I said Dayhana(Diana) and she says ok can you show me your proof of order? I looked confused and said you didn't ask that lady for any proof. She then raises her voice at me and said WELL SHE PAID CASH! while rolling her neck aggressively. I said well didn't I?(thinking my wife already paid) The heavy set lady then goes out loud in front of all the waiting guests WELL DONT TAKE THE FOOD THEN. Then she notices what she said and goes WAS IT DOOR DASH OR NOT??? I call my wife to ask and my wife said she placed the order over the phone and I asked if she paid and she says no pay at the register. So I ask the lady to ring me out and hand her my card. The lady places my card on the table instead of handing it to me and basically throws my receipt at me. Customer service her is trash and they last a long time customer. I have never paid anything less than $100 when I visit or order from this place but they will NEVER see my...
