I’ve been coming to the Moose for 15+ years for bluegill and love it. Most times in recent years I bring 4 to 10 people along to eat on a Friday, driving in from out of town, telling them how good the food is. The last few times the experience has not been good. I’m not sure what the problem is but after a turnover in management some months ago there’s no longer a full menu, at least once there was no bluegill or frog legs and most recently I called to make sure they had bluegill but upon arrival was told the cook hadn’t arrived yet (at 5:30). One time this past winter the whole place was closed up when we got there. I’ve also noticed a big decline in people eating in the dining room, sure nothing like it used to be. Sometimes my party is the only one eating in there. And Theresa obviously wasn’t there this last time because I know she would’ve done the cooking as well as waitressing because I’ve witnessed it many times before. I’ve come to the conclusion maybe the Moose is more favorable to the drinking crowd than those who want to eat. Sad for me and my crowd because we’ve spent a lot of money there...
Read more5 star bar...I stopped in the Moose last night to meet a few friends. We had a couple of draft beers and decided to order a bite. At the suggestion of a friend I ordered the breaded tenderloin. I know what you're thinking, "it's Indiana, everyone has a tenderloin'. True, but they must make this themselves and hand bread it. They also mentioned to me they are expanding their craft beer selection and have entertainment often. So I'll be back to check those out and get...
