Mia was a complete life saver of my sanity! My 11 year daughter was asked to be a Jr. Bridesmaid in a wedding which my daughter is so excited to be a part. However, it's not the joy of being a part of the wedding that Mia helped me with it was the difficult expectations that the "Bride" said that my daughter's dress need to fit within - has to be floor length, has to be chiffon, has to have some kind of shoulder strap, has to have some jewel beading on the top part of the dress and has to be Silver....and me as the mom had to take it a step further and add that it MUST be age appropriate for an 11 year old AND I couldn't justify spending more than $150 for an 11 year olds dress that she will grow out of by this time next year. So the search began...I looked and looked and looked and looked on the internet. I called every department store that sold formal dresses and finally I found a dress that I ended ordering online. I was so relieved that after 5 straight hours of searching I found a dress that fit all the criterias! Only to find out that the next day I get a call from my bank saying that the fraud department flagged the transaction because it was an international charge. The original website showed NOTHING indicating it was an international company. I even paid extra for the dress to be shipped/delivered within 3 days. I decided to not let the bank to allow the transaction to proceed.....so here I was right back at square one. I immediately contacted Mia at THAT DRESS in desperate need of help! I gave Mia the requirements of the dress and within just a couple hours Mia had found the PERFECT dress that most importantly met not only the Bride's requirements but mine as well. We went up to the store where when I walked into the door I hugged her neck in such relief.... Almost in tears! Mia measured my daughter, ordered the dress and when I paid for the dress it was only $110 Tax and all!!!! Not even a week later the dress came in and there are no alterations needed to be done to the dress. It fits perfectly! Mia was so nice throughout the entire process and very punctual with finding the perfect dress and is age appropriate for an 11 year old. I have learned from my mistake and I will ALWAYS from now on (because geez are there going to be a lot of dresses I am going to have to purchase for my daughter in the years to come for prom, etc.) I will not think twice I will go straight to THAT DRESS!! Let me preface this by noting that I had already tried dresses at high end, middle of the road and budget boutiques before making an appointment at That Dress. I still had not found the "the one". When my sister and I decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to Rincon, I was sure this was going to be failed last resort. We pulled up at the store. It was small town cute and in a shopping center. Doubtful I would find anything here, but we made the drive, so might as well give it a whirl, right? Jess (Jessica) helped me look through the dresses and explained some things about how they were displayed and talked about the different designers. OMG! I loved every single one that they had!!!! I wanted to literally try them all. The last one I tried was the stunner and I immediately knew it had to be mine. So I held my breath for her to help me unzip the dress and reach inside for the price tag. OH WOW!!! On special, well below $1,000!! And this dress, my friends, is amazing. I just knew she was going to say it was $5,000. (I later learned that they do not carry anything that expensive) I would post a pic, but I will have to return and do it after my wedding. Needless to say, I was elated. Jessica was so awesome. Props to her and the rest of the kind staff there. Do not let the small town cuteness of this store fool you! It is amazing and the staff is wonderful. They have literally corrected all the mistakes that other bridal boutiques make and perfected their own concept. I cannot express my gratitude to Jessica enough. She and I will be sharing the same wedding anniversary as well, so maybe it was meant to be. Tell a friend- ditch those other places and look here. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Me and my mom had the absolute BEST experience at that dress! I emailed them telling them my situation and begging for help, I am a big girl and finding a dress in my size has proven to be nearly impossible! Especially with only 3 months until my big day! Mia emailed me back from home telling me to come in and we would figure it out…. And figure it out she did!! I was able to try on a dress she had in store and we ordered a dress that would be just the right size. It came in quickly and was such an affordable price for a plus size wedding gown! We went back to try it on and I fell in love and Mia even gave me the number of an affordable , local alteration shop! I was actually able to have the dress shopping experience I was pretty convinced that big girls don’t get to have!
