I’m honestly HORRIFIED at the behavior of the manager, Courtney. I was in on Monday, 10/7 for breakfast with my mom. It wasn’t too busy but it also wasn’t super slow. A couple on the other half of the restaurant had ordered T-Bone steaks well done, and neither of the steaks came out well done. The man ate his but the woman asked for hers to be fixed. Courtney told her they didn’t have any more T-Bones and the lady should take it home and cook it more herself if she wants it done more. The lady asked her to take the steak off her bill, and she refused. Courtney went back to the grill and was yelling to them across the restaurant about how she wouldn’t take the steak off their bill. The woman was saying how they’d pay for everything including his steak even though it was wrong, since he ate it, but because hers is wrong and she isn’t eating it, she doesn’t want to pay for it. Courtney refused to take it off and said while at the grill “these people are pissing me off”, which they heard. This obviously upset the customers, who then asked her to come talk to them rather than yelling across the restaurant. At this point, Courtney accuses the couple of trying to get all of their food for free and says “I think you came in here with zero intention to pay for any of your food and you just want a free meal”. She then starts yelling at them, demanding they tell her which car they’re driving and what their license plate it. When they wouldn’t tell her and again offered to pay for everything but the steak, Courtney called the cops and refused to speak to them again. After multiple sheriffs arrived, it was decided that the couple would pay for everything but the steak. Courtney still attempted to press criminal charges for NO reason and I gave a statement to the cops, explaining details Courtney didn’t bother to include. No criminal charges were pressed. It Courtney still filed paperwork to ban them from the store. The fact that Waffle House allows their MANAGER to behave this way is disgusting and I’ll never give this store my...
Read moreMan I miss the old days. You know just a couple years ago before Covid came along and everybody went retarded. I remember the good ole days when the Waffle House was open 24hrs and the staff was friendly and you could go in there any time and eat a meal. I work second shift, and sometimes I am busy and do not get to take a lunch/dinner break, so sometimes I stop by Waffle House on the way home. Tonight I did so and the two ladies or whatever they were, it’s hard to tell these days, just looked at me and shook their heads no as if they were closed and the door was locked which really annoyed me because the website says they’re open 24hrs. This is not the only time this has happened. It’s happened to me multiple times at the Rincon location. Other times I have been told I could not dine in. Why I have no idea. I have walked in and said hello and sat down and waited for someone to come take my order but was ignored until I said something and then they tell me it’s to go only. The website says you’re open 24hrs. Unlock the door and get to work. I’m so sick of the days we’re living in where nobody is willing to work anymore. Change the hours on your website if you’re goin to be closed. What about us night shift people, Waffle House used to be the only thing open we could eat in the middle of the night. Now there’s nothing. The problem is you’d rather lock the door and say you’re closed so you don’t have to do anything. Pure laziness. Open the door I want some food. Get off your tail and do something with your life. -p.s not directed to Waffle House necessarily but to the staff that was working tonight at the...
Read moreI was helped by a woman whose name tag said "Mom." She seemed to be extremely intoxicated. She was slurring her words and stumbling. She could not keep track of what she had already done and asked customers numerous times if they needed to order. She took my order and a few minutes later came back to me and asked if I was ready to order as if she had no recollection that she had already helped me. I let her know I already was helped but that the man next to me had not been helped. Another server came over and helped him and then Mom came back to him and asked again what he wanted. At one point another employee suggested she should just go home. Then later she said she was going to go home and the others would have to handle the rest of the shift. At one point she just stopped what she was doing and took her phone out to reply to a text. When my food was ready she put it in a bag and set it to the side and looked at me and asked if I needed to order again. I told her my food was sitting in that bag. She grabbed and and told me my total. It was not right and I questioned the prices. She quoted the wrong price for my cheeseburger and I showed her the menu and she adjusted it but it still was too high. She said the other charge was for the to go utensils. I didn't argue and paid. Got home to no utensils or napkins or anything in my bag. Other people in the restaurant noticed her bahavoor as well and it was very...
