Our Lady of the Gulf — Local services in Port Lavaca

What a beautiful Mass! We are in town visiting my dad and I haven’t been to Port Lavaca since 2016 so a lot has changed in 6 years including the most amazing renovation! The pastor is just as incredible, his homily was deep and profound and inspiring. I have been struggling with my faith since basically the start of the pandemic and having to only attend Mass online made it worse. This was my first time back to in person Mass since the lockdown (March 2020) and I’m so thankful! During Mass, Father faces the tabernacle so it is more reverent. The music is also beautiful with the organ. The community is close-knit and vibrant and truly faith-filled— you can tell from the number of vocations coming from this tiny but mighty parish in the middle of nowhere Port Lavaca. Wish we lived here so we can be part of the parish. Truly a piece of Heaven. Thank you, Father for the warm welcome! May God bless this parish...

This has become nothing but a way to generate cash of the people of prot lavaca, very disappointing to see how this church is run and how the grounds are kept Millions wasted on making this place look appealing to people when those funds could be greatly helpi g the community, all the while this church cant even afford to put out a couple garbage cans so that its people can help to keep the...
