BEEF RIBS ONLY!!! If you claim to be a BBQ fan and have tried to find beef ribs, then you know they’re few and far between! Pit Devil ONLY serves beef ribs because “everyone else has pork ribs and we wanted to be different.” Texas Plate is a bargain with 3 meats, 3 sides! Brisket moist & flavorful; sausage from Hallettsville and really tasty; ribs were perfect. Beans nice ‘n salty, potato salad mustardy, cole slaw was okay. Friendly service, got to chat with pit master , just great all around experience… Not afraid of seasonings or being different, which makes Pit Devil a Helluva stop!

Ok so found this place on maps and decided to check it out. Stuffed wrapped jalapeños were pretty good, ordered the Texas plate and the sausage and brisket were good but the ribs were not enjoyable lot of fat in it and the meat was tough so basically didn’t eat that at all. My coworker got the same thing and agreed he also got deviled eggs and didn’t enjoy it

Ok so found this place on maps and decided to check it out. We stopped here on our way home from our family's vacation house and it was 👌🏼🤌🏼 the brisket was tender! (Even the lean plate) sausage was good, rice was fluffy and the beans were flavorful. After picking up our vehicle from Port Lavaca. My husband and I came in at the last minute. Of course not knowing what time they closed. It was closing time. But, they welcomed us with open arms. I did feel kinda bad at first, I know how it feels when your ready to close and your ready to go home. In my case sometimes I stay just to help out my clients. But, seeing this from someone else, a business owner. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was amazing how they treated us, like family. It's hard to find great restaurants. And great BBQ. Our meals were amazing. Will most def. tell people about this place. The rice was just like my mamas (God Rest her Soul).Thank you again, for inviting us to stay. Thanks a million, from...

I went a few weeks back on a family trip to port Lavaca and were trying to decide on lunch before heading back home to San Antonio and while searching google we found pit devil bbq and decided to stop there. So glad we did! The food was so delicious and the portions were very generous! We came in with a large group and the staff took care of us so well and were patient with us lol the staff was so friendly and came to chat with us. They then took my nephews, niece, and son on a little “field trip” to go see where all the food is made out back and say hi to the pit master. I followed as well and it was so exciting for the kids (and me and well lol) definitely something they will remember! 10/10...
