Let me start by saying Monica R at the Lake Mary location is wonderful! Absolutely makes the experience comfortable. However, my experience with the owner (Amanda) was completely appalling! I purchased a certificate for 3 Brazilians on March 7th right before this pandemic hit. During my last visit (December 17, 2019), prior to purchasing this certificate, I shared with Monica that I was experiencing ingrown hairs like I never had before so she suggested that I increase the frequency of exfoliation. Thus, I purchased the certificate hoping to try again. However, the unfortunate events of the world prevented me from going back for some time. I was dealing with a death in my family, among many other difficulties associated with COVID-19. Recently things have calmed down in my life and the certificate came to my mind again. As my ingrown hairs have improved significantly, I can only assume that they were a result of the sugaring so I have decided not to try it again. I shared all of this with the owner and her response was, "You should have told us about the ingrown hairs prior to purchasing the certificate. I have been doing sugaring for about 15 years so I've never seen anyone have an issue 10 months after sugaring." Wow! Insensitive, unprofessional, and cold. Also, did she even listen to me when I said the ingrown hairs started when I started sugaring? I definitely would not recommend supporting a business that is run this way.

In response to the owner: As I stated, there should be exceptions to this policy when a customer is unable to use the services offered by the business. If I knew someone to transfer the service to, I would. Unfortunately, relationships with people have been put on hold due to COVID-19. I'm sure there are people who use your services without issues who would buy the certificate, but I don't know them. There was no compassion in our conversation and it was extremely upsetting, not just because you are a business owner but also because you are a human being. Saying that I would have known by 3 months and not made the purchase is irrelevant, as I stated many times that I made the purchase hoping to come back. Unfortunately, sugaring causes painful ingrown hairs for me. Lastly, of course 7 months have passed; the world is experiencing a pandemic! As I stated on the phone, this service/company/issue/whatever you want to name it was not at the forefront of my mind when I had a family member pass away or the numerous other issues that I have been experiencing in my life. I understand if COVID-19 hasn't affected you or your life, but it has greatly affected mine and your insensitivity to that is a problem for me. LIFE CHANGING!!!!! I have always been curious about this method of hair removal as I have been using razors forever. Last night was my 1st time. I'll never go back to razors! I worked with Christine, who I now refer to as "the hair whisperer" she immediately made me feel comfortable about this first time experience and did a fantastic job. The facility is super cute and very clean. I love the fact that the hair removal is done with sugar and not wax! I double (triple) love that it's owned and operated by women!!!! Been going here for about three years now and usually have had amazing experiences. Unfortunately the person that usually does my eyebrows was not there and someone else did it. What took me two years to grow was all gone when some different person did my eyebrows. I specifically showed her where I wanted hair off from. She promised to do a little by a little and show me but she sugared all of my eyebrows off and handed me the mirror at the end and I almost had a heart attack. PLEASE let them know exactly how you want it and ask them to show you for every part of your eyebrow that they do. They probably aren’t used to thick full eyebrows so when they see it their initial thought it to take it all off.
