This place is truly fantastic, my mom & I wish we had found it sooner. Each new client gets a sealed, sanitized packet opened in front of them with all the tools for their service. I witnessed all the staff super thoroughly cleaning up the stations after each use. They were even sanitizing the inside of drawers, arms of pedi chairs etc. It wasn’t a 10 second wipe down & I really appreciate that. The business went under new ownership February 2023, and great things are happening! I had the “Heavenly” pedicure which was $60 and it was one of the best pedicures of my life (there are much more affordable options, but I’m on vacation & wanted to get pampered!) I visit my parents frequently, and wish this place was back home in Charleston, SC. My mom had a new set of dip nails put on by May & it’s hard to tell the fresh set aren’t her real nails. (The last place left them really thick & sticking straight up a very odd way). My pedicure was with Sandy (she has worked at the same spot for 17 years!) Sandy took her time, was genuinely nice, and super detail oriented. The massage lasted roughly 20 minutes & I was fighting dozing off I felt so relaxed and pampered. I found Port Orange Lashes & Nails off of Google after my mom told me how disappointed she was the last several times she went to Organic Nails (next to Walmart), and that each time the experience kept getting worse. All of the staff was truly wholesome at Port Orange Lashes & Nails, made eye contact, held good conversations but also knew when you were in a Zen zone & wanted it to be quiet. The place itself is unassuming from the store front (and still has the previous business name on the sign which initially confused us) but the interior is elevated, open, well decorated, clean & does not stink of strong chemicals. Love that they offer online booking as an option & both our appointment times were honored with zero wait time or over lapping services with other guests.
Update- Mom & I went back to get her toes and my dip nails done today. Service was just as fantastic as our first visit. Really LOVED May and holding a pleasant conversation with her. She is extremely hard working, dedicated & happy to be working at the salon. Truly every employee here is so kind, caring & truly genuine. Don’t hesitate or look further, this is the place to go!! If I could give them 10...
Read moreA few months ago I decided that when I got off work, I was going to treat myself to a mani/pedi. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, asked what services I would like, I stated what I would like, and told to pick my colors. While I was pondering what color I would like, a lady yelled at me from where the tubs were at to come sit. I walk over and realized while slipping off my shoes I was not prepared for getting my toes done but oh well, was already there (I was wearing flats not sandals/flip flops and was wearing skinny jeans). As soon as I slipped my flats off, the chatter started. Now listen, my feet were in bad shape, but hey that’s why I was there!? So I kept a level head, let them poke fun with each other about me and I started to roll up my skinny jeans when I heard giggling. Okay, I’m a bigger woman and was struggling a bit to roll up my own pant legs; not new to people laughing at me but not any less embarrassing. At this point, everyone was now watching me, including customers in the other pedi tubs. My face was red but I gathered myself and got toes in the tub. While I’ll letting my feet soak and choosing my settings on the massage chair, I hear a lady and a man almost arguing in the back. A minute later a gentlemen greets me, looks down and starts to attempt to shove my jeans up further than I had rolled them, and the giggling started again. I felt my face get red again and immediately didn’t want to be there anymore, though I applaud the effort to try at help me from the gentlemen. The women however, were NOT making anything better. Then it hit me.. they specifically chose the man to do my toes because it would be too much for any of the women to do because of how big I was compared to, well the other women in the salon. Anyways, the gentlemen that did my toes did great throughout the service until he cut my right big toe nail to short on the side and it started bleeding a little bit. Towards the end of my manicure service I was asked if I wanted to get a manicure done and I lied to get out of there as soon as possible. Looking at their reviews, I am genuinely happy others have been treated well and enjoy their services but I won’t be returning or recommending to...
Read moreI had an appointment to get a french dip manicure. One gentleman started on my nails. after about 10 minutes of prepping he said to let them soak and got up and left to do a pedicure. I sat there for about another 10 minutes or so and finally a lady came over and took the foil off and apologized for the delay and just said she was sorry but she was overbooked. Another gentleman Q (Juan) said he would be right with me. So I moved over to his desk after only a few minutes. He finished up my manicure and did a fabulous job. All in all it was a fast job and was only there for about an hour and 10 minutes. I would have given 5 stars if the first gentleman had not left me to go to another customer. I will probably be going back as Q (Juan) did such a...
