I visited this phone repair service located within a Walmart in hopes of fixing my broken phone screen, which had finally completely shut off after months of use. I was in urgent need of a repair, and this was the only option available at the time, so I decided to give it a try.
Upon arriving, I was greeted by the owner, an Indian woman, who took my phone and immediately began inspecting it. After a brief glance, she quoted me $87 for the repair, which I agreed to. However, the situation quickly became unsettling when she began insisting that my phone had water damage. I knew this was not the case, as my phone had not been submerged in water nor had I ever dropped it into any water source. Yet, she continued to push the idea that the phone had suffered water damage, despite me clearly explaining that it was a broken screen, not water exposure, that was causing the issue.
She then told me that the screen repair could not proceed unless I first paid an additional $50 for fixing the alleged water damage. I expressed my frustration, explaining that I only needed the screen fixed, but she insisted that the repair wouldn't work unless the supposed water damage was addressed first. Feeling desperate to get my phone fixed, I reluctantly agreed, though I found her insistence on upselling unnecessary and unprofessional.
Further compounding the experience, I was told that there would be no refund if my phone didn’t work properly after the repair, particularly due to the alleged water damage. This was troubling, as I believe a reputable service should stand behind its work with some form of guarantee.
After the repair, I explained the situation to someone, who decided to call the store to inquire further. When the owner was confronted about the fact that I had only requested a screen repair and not additional work on the alleged water damage, she became defensive and dismissed the concerns. It was during this call that she made an incredibly inappropriate and prejudiced comment, saying, "That's why I don't like working with THOSE people," referring to my friend who had helped me cover the cost. This comment, directed at my friend, who is Haitian, was not only offensive but completely unacceptable.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against using this repair service. The upselling tactics, lack of transparency, and overall unprofessional conduct were frustrating, to say the least. Additionally, the prejudiced remark made by the owner during the follow-up conversation made this experience all the more disappointing. I will not be returning or recommending this...
Read moreWorst screen protector I have ever bought. In one week, I have gone through two screen protectors. If you buy a screen protector here, the very first time you drop your phone off a 2 foot height it will crack like you just dropped it off of football bleachers. This place sells below the market scam screens. These people are scam artists do not get your screen from here unless you like to lose money and be scammed. If you have a phone and you want to keep it protected, and you don’t wanna consistently buy a screen protector every single time you drop your phone do not get a screen protector from here. I will be taking my business back to Best Buy and I recommend them for anybody else because when you buy a screen protector from them one time, they replace it for free an unlimited amount of times, whether you crack it, it has a bubble in the screen take it back and get it replaced because they take responsibility for their products. You got my business you lost my business. This is not an American business. This is an off market business created by people in another country who are selling off market cheaper products at the same price as American products. Do not let them scam you like they scammed me. And if you read this and are still biased, go ahead and get scammed, You can learn your own lesson like I did. I gave this company two chances in under one week. I have spent the same amount of money if not more if I would’ve just went to Best Buy and got a screen protector from them for $50 and Best Buy replaces your screen protector for the lifetime of your phone if there’s a bubble in your screen if there’s a watermark in your screen, if there’s a crack This company doesn’t do anything, but Cell sells you cheap crap that will break the very first time it drops from not even 2 feet. Disgusting...
Read moreWent in November’24 and paid $374 for a screen repair. It never did work properly but good enough to deal with it. Today July 7, 2025 - I couldn’t get it to work at all so I looked at their website to check if they had a warranty - which they do. In fact, it says “lifetime warranty” on all parts and labor. Went it to get phone repaired and was informed - there is no warranty. Be aware of this when you use their services. They are “under new ownership” and do “ NOT WARRANTY THEIR WORK!” I have added a pic of the warranty info that is on the website right now - that they do not stand behind. Side note: the screen they replaced with ($ 374 repair ) would go black for periods of time and I couldn’t use my phone until someone...
