There is no doubt that Checkers has great food. But when it comes to Customer Service, this store gets ZERO STARS. Yesterday, as a quick solution for a very busy day, I decided to stop at this location, and was I up for a surprise! I was placing my order, yet the cashier seemed to be uneasy with the items that I was ordering; nothing out of the ordinary but there were several items that I wanted to order. One of them, being chicken tenders. She said that I would have to wait a while for them to be cooked, but I was not in a hurry, so I accepted the warning. Although I was not done ordering, she said your total is $36.74. I proceeded to the window and handed her my card. She may have been so busy on her mobile device, she even forgot to hand me back my card. When she realized that it was still in her possession, she opened the window, handed me the card and asked me to wait by the front entrance and they would take my meal when it was ready. I waited perhaps for 20 minutes. The order comes and it was missing items and no receipt. I went back to the door and asked them for a receipt and the items missing. She went back to get the receipt and items, handed the receipt to the other employee and he comes out with a receipt that was illegible. It was obvious that it was not an unintentional act, however, I did not say a word about that. The guy looks at me and nods his head as in "what do you need?" I told him I am still missing some items and this is the third time I have to request it. He was certainly unhappy about getting the missing items, but he went back, handed them over to me and closed the door. I was baffled at such disregard and unpleasant experience. Read moreStopped to get a simple burger for 1.99 and a fry for my friend and a #4 for me..the automated told me 9.65 or something for the special order which was way too much..instead of holding up the line trying to get the automated to understand what i needed, since it didnt the first 2 times, I pulled up to ask for a special burger for my friend who has cancer btw, she can only eat certain things right now. And after the second question, the manager told the cashier to step aside, she half way explained my questions and the costs and really didnt answer my questions so it took a few minutes of repeating myself and for the conversation, it seemed to be going in circles as she was rushing, eye rolling and heavy breathing with every question, told the cashier to take the orders in the middle of me asking a question so she didnt hear me so i had to repeat again, she was irritated with me asking questions period.., after the blatant irritation I ended up ordering a burger the way it comes as my friend said she will just pull stuff off. So after we got the special order (not so special) done, I said ok now for me I will order the.. and the manager cut me off and said you can not order anything. The total is $8.45?something like that. I said why can you not take my order? The managers response was your burger is already done and because I have a line, you took too long, over 500 seconds of time but you can go inside and order your food if you like. I said oh, ok, ty! And drove away. I have never experienced such audacity, she does not care about keeping customers because it is not her business. 6 years later: I wasn’t going to blame Covid because that’s easy to do, but since Covid this establishment has gone DOWN. The hot dog that i received today I would barely categorize it as a hot dog. It was very small and dainty, and GREY. Mind you I barely took a bite of the one in the photo it was actually small & may I add, Pink on the inside. I know pink can be due to chemicals added, but either way it’s unappealing to the eye. The chili that was added on top tasted like straight up bbq sauce with no chili taste. They definitely must have changed the chili since covid or something because it’s not what I remember at all and it wasn’t good. It was also just slapped on one side when made. I don’t care for the AI bot that takes your order either, I think it leads to lazy workers who don’t know your order because they didn’t take it. I know it’s a fact, but I asked for ranch and the window worker just said “ranch is 54 cents” as a response. McDonald’s doesn’t charge for sauces when you order something and I find it odd I couldn’t have ranch for my loaded fries. It’s not like I ordered ice cream (which they have discontinued btw) and asked for something random like ranch. Do better checkers, no wonder they keep closing locations!
