I have gone to this store many many times. When this store first opened up it was filled with a lot of stuff. Items for the kitchen items for the living room the bedroom at that time they did so mattresses and they even had really cool headboards but you can't sell mattresses anymore especially if they're used. But they had material and patterns and a few little toys and lots of pictures so the stores seem fully stocked. But they were pretty pricey some things cheaper some things way overpriced. And it's gone through some changes with management and people who volunteer and actually work there and the items that were donated there couches sofas tables and such were high quality things. Maybe not always the most updated items but clean no spots no stinky smell nice stuff might be a little overpriced but you knew when you were buying something from there and it was furniture you were going to have any creepy crawlies come at you.
I have bought many different things from there anywhere from a cup to a book to very nice pictures. I have had really nice people they were either volunteers or management wait on me they were knowledgeable and very friendly. I've also walked through that store and had no one even that an eye at me. And that's really bad customer service.
Today I visited there and the store was pretty empty probably five people in the store I walked in two people behind the counter talked to this woman who I believe was buying something or going to be donating something don't know don't care. However the two volunteers or employees didn't call out to me and say Hi how are you if you need something let us know it doesn't take two people to stand behind the counter and shoot the breeze with one person. One person behind the counter the other person walking about the store I could have ripped off a lot of stuff there today if I had been a dishonest person. The last time this happened it was ladies who were older. I don't know why they feel they don't need to say hi to everybody and ignore them. But for some reason the storm was pretty slim pickings I want to say of things lots of tables and little chachkies and a few pictures not really a lot. I can't believe things are bought quickly in the store like that. I think maybe people aren't donating as much. because you can sell it online at so many different places they're just not getting the donations they used to.
But I think I'm going to just wait a few months and go back again and see if I get the same treatment of being totally ignored by the employees. If that happens I will directly contact management. If I wanted to be ignored I would go up the hill to the other thrift store which sometimes is just as expensive but the funds don't stay locally. I hope that someone will see this and have a little talk to these...
Read moreProbably the cleanest and well put together one weâve ever been to but also the MOST expensive one weâve ever been to. When you try to ask them to go lower on VHS tapes, they wonât budge and then the lady there tried to guilt trip me into buying it in the name of, âbut don't you know where the money is going?!âŚâ It was The Pride and Prejudice series and one of the covers on it was torn up and there was no way to know if they even worked⌠which a man working there even stated. He apologized at least they couldnât do a better deal. They wouldnât give us military discount because it wasnât the right day. This is the first one weâve been to that doesnât give that discount daily⌠in my opinion you should be serving and giving back to the men and women who put/have put their life on the line for you everyday⌠A sweet customer was trying to help me get a better deal on the VHS and explained that they up-charge things because itâs a town full of retired rich people. (She was a senior) Support a different place. Cherry Blossom down the road is more vintage decor and more expensive but a lot nicer and at least their items actually are worth what theyâre charging. Like most antique shop price ranges. Habitat for Humanity is a thrift store⌠their prices should reflect that. Goodwill is bad enough you guys didnât have to jump on the bandwagon. Thatâs my take on this place. Ted Talk...
Read moreMaybe I set the bar too high, but I remember the Restore where I used to live. I went there frequently for bargain home fixing and decorating items. They were used and priced accordingly. When I went in this store, I was greeted very nicely. Props to the workers who have arranged the items in a pleasing way. However,...the prices are ridiculous. Holy smokes! I have been in less expensive antique shops with better quality items. A glass cake dish with a cover was fifty dollars. For those prices, it had best bake the cake for me. Habitat is a wonderful charity, but don't go in the store expecting to...
