Highway Twenty Roadhouse — Restaurant in Port Townsend

So we have seen this play over the years and decided to stop for breakfast. They had a Mexican omelette for a their special, so that is what I ordered. Absolutely terrible! The "cook" put cold sour cream on a warm omelette - which in turn made the whole thing warm, at very best. The toast was cold as if it was sitting in a stack and hash browns were actually mushy. Wife got eggs, hash browns and bacon. Bacon was good, eggs were overcooked and her hash browns had the same consistency. The only good thing I can say about this place was the service. We always have enjoyed the food and the service here. Servers are very nice! Excellent chicken strips! Breakfast is good (love the country potatoes) and the coffee is strong (if you are a fan). Lunch specials are great, and you can get great Prime rib dinners usually on Friday and Saturday nights. Great desserts, too! We rolled in before our ferry and loved the local feel with great food for good prices. Our waitress was amazing and the bathrooms were beyond clean and inviting.
