117 about 11 AM went to the Port Washington store. Wisconsin tried to return a belt a purchase from a store and Brookfield mind you it was only an exchange of belts for size purposes. The clerk that helped me was very rude. She asked me questions about where was I from and she also stated that I have to buy a more expensive belt .all I wanted to do was exchange for a different size so she claim might have to spend $160 in order to get a different belt and she claimed the belt I bought was on sale so she was not obligated to make an exchange for the belt size. I needed it because the belt she claimed was not in the store she never looked at the shelf to see if the belt was in the store. She never let me look to see if I can find the same belt to exchange so I felt pretty bad about the situation. I felt like I was racially discriminated against because I’m a black man. I’m very unhappy and I will never shop at that...

I called the Store to check on availability, and a Gentleman by the name of Alex answered my call. This was the beginning of an outstanding Customer Service experience. He instantly welcomed my interest, and concerns, and treated me like a true AE enthusiast. I do own over twenty pairs of AE shoes, however, that has never seemed to matter, when speaking with any other Staff members, in other stores. Kudos to Alex and his product knowledge, i.e. colors, sizing, inventories, and a passion for the Customer’s total satisfaction. My backround includes over fifty years of being involved in both Sales and the Hospitality business, and I can recognize a talented Professional vs. a “Typical” clerk very easily.
