Very disappointed. I Googled them and it said they had groceries and more. The pictures showed piñatas and what looked like party supplies. So I drove to them and I browsed the sparsely stocked store and didn't find the papel picado or other ofrenda items I was looking for. I approached the lady at the counter and I speak enough Spanish to ask for what I was looking for. She grunted and nodded at a closed door and then hollered a man's name as she walked away. I stood there wondering if he needed to unlock them or she wanted him to speak to me in English. He very aggressively asked what I wanted. I told him in English and he said no, we don't carry that stuff. I asked if he knew where I might shop for those items. He impatiently and rudely barked Amazon! I know of a place on outer East 82nd by the TMobile store that does have all the items I wanted. I was just hoping to not go all the way out there. I don't shop at Amazon, especially for cheap items made in China when I know I can support small, local and especially immigrant businesses. Read moreA little piece of home. Nothing but smiles on my face when I went to visit this little spot. Coming from East LA, I'm no longer around my own people and this spot gave me a taste of what I've been missing. Very small but has a good amount to offer and I got a hell of a meal from this place. Came here initially to get bolio to make tortas and then saw they sell sopes, so I grabbed a pack and whipped up dinner. It was delicious. I always try to support the small businesses in the community so I didn't mind making the trip. Definitely worth it, nothing better than keeping in touch with the roots where you came from. I selected several Conchas, cookies, Pan Dulce and wanted some tamales.
The tamales were were not ready until later in the afternoon.
The cookies were a little sweet, and the Conchas had good taste.
The store offers homemade tortillas and chorizo.
